Obama says 'positive' U.S.-Chinese ties good for U.S.

A "positive, constructive, cooperative" U.S.-Chinese relationship is "good" for the United States, President Barack Obama said Wednesday in a joint news conference with Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Hu and business leaders, Obama called for "a spirit of cooperation" and "healthy competition" between the countries.

Obama and Vice President Joe Biden welcomed Hu to the White House in a formal arrival ceremony earlier in the day.

You actually believe the numbers or anything else they put out for consumption, WOW? It's China you morons, what part of "COMMUNIST country" don't you understand? Communist leaders do and say what they want, when they want. Total power and control over everything are the "blind ambition" in a communist country. With China, they also crave winning the little mind games that make their opponents "lose face". The world should turn their backs (with bullet proof vest in place) on this big piece of s hit before it's too late, if it's not already!

When it becomes cheaper to by domestic products than it does to import them, change will happen then. It's the same kind of concept as outsourcing...it's all about getting the most for your money. Why are the Steel Mills almost non-existant anymore? Cheaper to import steel than to make it here, that's why. It's cheaper to import Chinese goods than it is to make them here.
Can anyone say stiff tariffs? Of course not, because we don't want to mess up relations with countries that hate us anyway!!!
So what's the answer? Besides the stupid rhetoric, "It's Obama's fault. It's Bush's fault. It's the Dems fault. It's the GOP's fault. " Well?

I watched a Michael Moore movie, so I totally know all this is Wal-Mart's fault. It's not the fault of the politicians who refuse to make outsourcing illegal or at least very expensive. They are bought and paid for by corporate America.

Unfortunately, Banasy, the answer lies within each American. Regardless of thier position in politics and regardless of social standing. Use to be, we had national pride and that was more important than profit. Now, if we can save a buck by outsourcing jobs and pay a buck less by buying foreign, we do it. We have destroyed what America was with our own greed. Compare what PEOPLE were in the 40s and 50s to what they are today. Thats where the answer lies. Change people and you'll change our nations problems.

No the hell its not! banasy is right the citizens wouldn't have an option if the lawmakers would man-up and man-on a stiff tariffs on imports. We have nothing but elected pansie girls and wussies in Washington!

President Obama is a joke. Really. He thinks Americans are all stupid. This why I would like to get him in a boxing ring and knock some sense into him. Then go through the White House and remove all his snake oil. He has been selling it to pay for his golf on Sundays.
The fact is the United States has 1/5 the population of China. Forty five billion dollars of exports to China is like saying to a $500 callgirl, here's $100, I'm just paying a 20% tip today. The fact is our exports to China should 1/5 of what their exports are to the United States.
That's fair, anything less is unexceptable and taking it from behind. Obama will be standing for the next couple days.

Colonel. You are wrong. The Chinese are looking 30 years into the future. They are preparing to take control of the planet and it's resources. They just need to get one million ruthless Chinese soldiers here to rid the planet of 300 million Americans so their people can survive.
A communist country does not survive for 10,000 years by being honest with it's friends and trade partners. It manipulates and uses them. Then destroys them using the passenger aircraft they have secretly built for when energy resources crunch time comes.

The Chinese get the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from us. They reverse engineer them in the huge underground factory complex they have built. They strip them down so instead of carrying 800 passengers, they carry 1000 soldiers. They build 1000 of them.
They attack and gain control of LAX and then the Port of Los Angelos. They sweep through California easily killing them all. At the same, they capture and gain control of Reagan Airport in Washington D.C. Pushing south they gain control of Norfolk. As all this is happening, they land 400,000 soldiers at Chicago Ohare Airport. Splitting into two groups they proceed to go about killing hunters first. And they are brutal about it.
Within a week, the United States of America surrenders to China. Unaware the Chinese are going to intern them then exterminate every American.

    • Jim Brieske,

RUFFNUTT. The Chinese are brutal. History has proved this. They wouldn't just enter towns and cities with an overwhelming force and shoot. They would capture women and children. Gain time and control by publicly torturing them to death until the male hunters surrendered. By the fourth day, they would have 2 million soldiers in the United States. By the seventh, 3 million. By the tenth day, the Chinese would have 4 million soldiers in the United States.
War over. We are defeated in 10 days.
