Amen! She might have killed herself...and worse ....other innocent people.......I'm thinking about suing her, CNN, the mall, and the security team because I laughed so hard I S*#& myself and had to buy new underwear! It was not my fault!

SUE the hell out of em !

Not once do we hear one of the guards express concern for her welfare. I am sure they have guidelines in place for completing incident reports and making sure this lady was ok after her mishap, but nothing is mentioned. We all walk/talk/text so lighten up on the judgement people. It is disheartening to know that we live in a society that would view someones misfortune regardless of fault as an opportunity to post the situation on youtube as a laughable event instead of offering assistance to help her a lady in need. Sue em, fire em, teach em a lesson, get every penny you can!

Tom, the video looks like a recording to me – guards showing their coworkers after the fact (perhaps hours after). Sure it's unprofessional, but if the event happened earlier in the day, there's nothing they could do.

She received the outcome of a careless person. If not now, then when is it a time when it is okay to laugh at one's self. Come on, you did something dumb. It is a time to see the humor in life, not to make some money at the expense of those who were merely laughing.

No Tom B, I will not go easy on her. Stupidity deserves to be laughed at. She is not the 1st person I've seen nearly kill themselves because they're to busy texting to pay attention to thier surroundings.

As for sueing the mall? I'd say no. Why? Because her falling in the fountain was her own fault and she didn't behave as though she were hurt when she got out. If Security had run over to her I feel she still would sue just because the guards presence would drawn far more attention to her and embarassed her even more.

She got right up, so I don't see why the guards should have been concerned. If she didn't move, drowning in the water, then I could understand people upset. People fall down all the time, it happens! Should the state send out a cop if a pedestrian is seen falling on a traffic cam, given that pedestrian jumped right back up? Stop with the law suit mentality. Bad stuff happens and we don't need hugs from everyone just because.

really? You're going to talk about how it was unfair that that "poor" woman was put onto Youtube, as you feature her as a video on your website.... Class Act CNN, Class Act

Kudos Durrrrh! I agree with you 100%!.....They also stated the mall security "tampered" with evidence by recording the video displayed on the monitor with a cell phone....there was no tampering....that means they actually changed the evidence......if anything they made it harder to tamper with by making a second video of the monitor! She should laugh it off and revel in her 15min of fame! LMAO!

Doing an interview on CNN probably didn't help keep her story quiet either. Between falling in the fountain, and then doing an interview about how she didn't want anyone to know...maybe her Papi should keep her at home

She reveals herself to the public and is nothing but a whiner! Stupid is as stupid does. Perhaps she would be best served to just laugh it off and pat herself on the back for adding years to people's lives after giving them the opportunity for a good laugh.

Agree! If her only worry is the embarrassment she brought that on herself by going public with it. This is all about money! No one even knew or cared who she was. But no matter how you look at it – IT WAS FUNNY! and most people would have laughed at themselves and moved on.

This is a mall so she is out in public. The mall is private property and they own those video tapes. They can do whatever they want with them. She said she works in the mall so she should know where the fountain is located. She made an embarressing mistake. Learn to laugh at your mistakes and move on.

It's really sad that she can't laugh at herself. It was a funny thing to happen. It deserved laughter. She should be happy that she caused so much laughter for so many people...without even trying.

So, at the beginning the reporter says that he (or CNN) showed the video of this woman falling in the fountain and he (or CNN) was amused at it. Now, at the end he that there is no reason that the video should have got out. HUH? Idiot reporter!

She should be charged with being a public nuisance! what if she had bumped into a pregnant woman, into a baby carriage, or into an elderly person and caused injury? She needs to be accountable and the Mall management need not punish their employees.

    America's funniest videos!!!

After watching the video multiple times and from 2 angles, I think she did it on purpose in order to file a suit. She is walking normally until she reached the knee wall around the fountain, then you see her left left leg lift high enough to allow her knee to land on the top of the knee wall and gracefully fall into the fountain. I'm suprised she didn't lay in the fountain and claim to be hurt. No one knew who she was until she brought the attention to herself!!

Leann, if she did it on purpose, she would have just laid there. She was so into texting she didn't notice anything. Stop texting and walking or driving at the same time people!!

I think she did it on purpose as well. She wasn't walking that fast, the barrier to the fountain comes up to her knees & right before she fell in she stopped & kinda leaned in to the right. She wasn't even hurt for christ sakes. Who cares! Plus, you couldn't even tell who it was so how exactly is it that people were calling her telling her that she's on youtube if you can't see who it is? She's full of it. Just another sue happy person.

If you can be as stupid as text messaging while walking in a mall and falling in a fountain , it is funny ! It's fortunate no one was injured. Good thing it didn't happen when she was driving !
