Blair: Extremism must be confronted

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has told the country's inquiry into the war in Iraq the world must continue to confront Islamic extremism.

Appearing before the panel in central London for the second time, Blair said it was impossible to manage the threat from extremists.

"The single most difficult thing we have to face today - and we face it still - is the risk of this new type of terrorism and extremism based on an ideological perversion of the faith of Islam combined with technology that allows them to kill people on a large scale.

"Although this is a time where many people think this extremism can be managed, I personally don't think that is true. I think it has to be confronted and changed."

More right-wing mumbo-jumbo being vomited in London about Britain's involvment in Iraq by Tony Blair! The British had no more business in Iraq than we did. The whole idea is still revolting as violence now permeates Iraqi society!

That's the way it was and always will be, Daniel. Because Islam and every other religion is a perversion of humanity. But especially Islam. Whew! Those cats are crazy.

At least Tony Blair is being held to account a little bit. Why aren't Bush and Cheney?

Bush and Cheney ousted the evil dictator Saddam Hussein and won the War in Iraq while establishing a democratic government. They have nothing to be held accountable for. You need your head examined.
If anything you should be explaining why your cowardly no good rotten President Obama doesn't fight to win in Afghanistan. It's his war. I would not be surprised if after Obama's one term, Americans decide to outlaw the birth of black babies in the United States for 120 years.

I wouldn't worry, Tony. I am positive God has a plan. One which the whole world will see play out.
