Jack LaLanne dead at 96

American fitness guru Jack LaLanne died Sunday afternoon at his home in Morro Bay, California, according to his long-time agent, Rick Hersh. He was 96.

The cause, said Hersh, was respiratory failure due to pneumonia. LaLanne had been ill for the past week.  His wife, Elaine, was at his side, along with his family and friends, Hersh said.

    What a wonderful energeitic man. I have admired him all of my life. He was the true fitness guru. Rest in Peace- He will have the angels juicing before you know it.

    The breaking news appeared at approximately 7:15 p.m. PST – why does Wikipedia already have more on their website than CNN? Said he died of respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia in his Morro Bay, CA home.

    Wow how crazy... I watched his juicer infomercial and got out my juicer from years ago that I bought just cuz I watched the show. My daughter asked how old he was and I said near a 100...lol Rip Mr Fitness
