That is for sure...
Not nessarsarrily Muslims, the russians do have there problems w/ chechen terrorist
Chechens terrorists happen to be muslims, but that is just a coincidence.
They are Muslims...do your homework
Many of the 911 hijackers were trained in Chechnya. Most of the rest were trying to get there until they were given another assignment...
Gorilla, we trained a lot of the 911 terrorists right here in the US, at a small flight training school (I think it was outside San Diego, but I'm not sure).
911 hijackers were trained at a flight school in Florida.
@kasey, you are correct,it was in FLA.
They were fighters in Chechnya before that. Most likely that is where they killed before and became comfortable with killing scores of innocents.
Gorilla shut up retard! No one of them was trained in Chechnya simply because there is no such facility for that. Chechens are very friendly and peacefull people, unless you come with weapon to their country.
Gorilla, Chechens are not associated with Al Qaeda. Different segment of Islam. Chechens have been fighting for their independence from Russia. Not condoning their methods, but they have their reasons.
Kasey, don't even try it, I have been to Iraq 3 times, and I can't say I enjoyed the experience, there were a NUMBER of not just Chechnian trained fighters there, but ethnic Chechnians themselves. We lost a few good Soldiers to an Ethnic Chech sniper who cut his teeth fighting agaisnt the Russians, so take your high mindedness and grow up before you say squat.
You sir are an I-diot
Anyone think that humans could stop killing each other for one day?
I wish so. There is always someone's wrong!
Second that!
With the world population at 7 billion its not nearly enough...
European papers report 31 dead and 120+ injured. Looks very bad.
I see what you did there. Going on the defensive before people can attack. How's that working out for you? Moron.
Most suicide bombers do blow themselves up............
There is a "Reply" button for a reason...
Why? Did Sarah Palin put a cross hair on the airport??
Again, is there something wrong with you?
We can't jump to conclusions that it was the muslims. their are other terrorist factions in russia.
Let's not jump to conclusions. There are lots of nationalist threats inside Russia, so all of them will need to be considered unless someone claims responsibility for the blast. Make no mistake, though, this kind of threat is real, and it isn't something that adding another security line is going to prevent.
Most likely Chechens, who are Muslim, although not tied to Al Qaeda.
Give me a break.....It is 100% Islamic extremists.....im so sick and tired of hearing about the religion of "peace"...
This has nothing to do with the religion! The problem is Russia's policy towards neighbour contries
Not clear whether the victims are Russians or others, but the willful killing of innocent civilians is a tragedy no matter where it occurs.
Indeed it was, however they can't read muslim n_n
Sad story bro. At least it wasnt a sledder.
He knows they were Muslim because nobody else blows up airports and other areas containing large concentrations of non-Muslims with such alarming frequency. Wake up and see the problem.
I'm an atheist so I have no dog in this race, I just think jumping to conclusions is foolish.
agreed
I am wondering why Muslims attack Russia so much
For people who are so holy they sure do kill alot of people. If it wasn't a muslim it was most likely made to look as if it was a muslim. But regardless of the religion or standing of the people, there are some radical people out there!
Me too Amy, Russia is such an innocent country.
Why do you think it was Muslims?
Chechens attack Russia on a regular basis. It's not really a surprise
Probably Chechen. Chechen = Muslim, although not the same as Al Qaeda, but I'm not sure most of the people posting realize the distinction.
Al Qaeda certainly does have its network in Chechnya. In fact, that is one of its main theaters.
What I am saying is that this is not a random religious disagreement, it is a territorial disagreement. They want these Chechens want is Chechnya as a separatist republic, and Russia is the invader in their eyes. They want the invader out. This is not the same thing as our problems with Muslim extremists. I'm not saying they're any better, just not the same.
Not many Americans realize this, but Al Qaeda as an organization does not exist. It is just a label we use on armed, militant, angry sunni muslims, those with ugly beards in particular. Chechen militants are frequently described as Al Qaeda, at least in European media.
@Kasey, absolutely correct! Russia has 6million sq miles and with only 145million people. They better becarful who they are engaging war with. Not alots of countries surround them are happy with them.
Why do everyone think it muslim? because islam is a terrorist religion, 99% of terrorists in the world are muslims. Can somebody prove me wrong please?
Citation please??? 99%. . . .please. Ignorant bigots are the biggest cause of the world's problems, and as you have just proven, they come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
If the Muslims are terrorists, why the Bush family and Bin-ladan family are friends? Doesn't seem that the problem is another thing?
I'm pretty sure the onus is on you to prove yourself right when you make a statement like that.
@Anna
Actually 99.1 percent of the world terrorist are Americans who drop bombs and kill innocent people every day you just are two Dum to realize that or see that cause you get your news from a remote control try doing some research and the truth of the reality might scare you yes I know so if you don’t want the truth I suggest you shut up and go back to watching American idol and stay in the dark as your nation would like you to be in.
P.S hope that answered your question .
Probably so, but I noticed some Russians are blaming Georgians this time (orthodox Christians)
Common Sense tells you it was muslims. WHO seems to be the only people killing nowadays????
Simple – Chechnya wannts independence. Russia says no becuase of the natural resources. Fight
Its always just funny how when they were attacks in the Balkins and Northern Ireland, no one was yelling &#%$ Christians....
Because its Catholics vs Protestants and this has been going on for a long time. They dont go around blowing everyone up, they just go after each other.
It could be the Chechens. Russia has had issues with their struggles for political independence, and they have been known to use violence.
Shark, you are an idiot. People like you are, well just not very educated and that is sad. Keep your negative political comments to yourself and focus on the issue. Terrorism and people killed is a sad event and story anywhere it happens. Stop being a jerk.
I've been worried about this kind of attack (outside the security zone) for a long time, and sadly it looks like it has happened. If anything, all the "security" we've added has made us more vulnerable to attacks in departure and arrival halls since there are bigger crowds of people waiting to get past the TSA and their overseas equivalents.
