8:30 am ET - Academy Award nominations announced - Which 10 films will be nominated for Best Picture?  Who will be a surprise acting nominee, and who will be snubbed?  Those questions will be answered when the Academy Award nominations are revealed.

10:00 am ET - Child pornography hearing - Is data retention the answer when it comes to investigating internet child pornography?  A House judiciary subcommittee hopes to answer that question this morning.

10:30 am ET - Pentagon briefing on Afghanistan - Learn about efforts to bring stability to Afghanistan with the head of mission for the Helmand Provincial Reconstruction Team.

9:00 pm ET - State of the Union address - President Obama delivers the State of the Union address on Capitol Hill.  Some lawmakers plan to end the practice of sitting divided by party during Obama's remarks, which will be followed by the Republican and Tea Party responses.
