   Racism is alive and well in the want to be united states. There are some mean spirited people who just keep trying to go back to the old ways and the old days. If it is not the "ole miss mascot", "dixie", "the confederate flag, "colonel billy-bob reb", "anchor-babies/birth rights" or the view that one has the right to impose racist traditions based on slavery and segregation on others, I don't know what this country is coming to. Remember "timothy mc vea", perhaps the real terrorist have been here all along. America please take a look in the mirror. We need to start following all the rules we preach to people in countries. "THE POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK."

   The house had to rush that healthcare vote to make way for the pressing business of, House Bill 1106. People will certainly die without healthcare, but we must keep Col. Reb and the hate filled ideology alive and well. Oh and we must hear from Dixie with love to rub it in how they won the civil war NOT!

     This is just another example where "we" don't need to do or say anthing that would offend anyone in order to be politically correct. Next lets stop playing the national anthum because some people may not like it it. I guess the next thing will be to end prayer in church. Where will it all end.

   I wonder how many black football and basketball recruits or current team members will decide to go elsewhere if this happens? I can't imagine it won't affect the quality of their teams. If it threatens to do so, that might make the legislators let well enough alone...

     Ever seen the movie "Blind Side?" Michael Oher played for Ole Miss . . and actually chose them over many other teams. He now plays for the Ravens. Why don't you ask him how he feels about Ole Miss? How about Deuce McAlister who played for the Saints?? Or maybe you could ask Dexter McCluster of the Kansas City Chiefs. These are all great American football players who played for the Ole Miss Rebels. They didn't flee from the Colonel.

   Let's pretend this legislator isn't racist for a moment. Perhaps he's one of these anti-PC guys who does things just to not be politically correct. Really I work with many Black people and they are not always angry and screaming racism every chance they get. Everyone gets along at my work and if there's one thing that makes someone upset (like slavery) then out of the decency I was taught by my parents I would be courteous enough to respect that. Why can't these clowns in power do the same?

      What is gross about the South??? Have you ever visited there?? Did you know the South is one of the most beautiful sections of this whole wonderful country of ours?? It has the most beautiful beaches, rolling hills, wonderful food, great hospitality, beautiful women, great fresh water and sea fishing, hot casinos, Rhodes Scholars, and is a very cultured part of this country. In fact, the Moscow Ballet goes to Jackson, MS. Singers from Leotyne Price to Elvis Presley to Faith Hill, writers from William Faulkner to John Grisham to Eudora Welty, song writers from Jimmy Buffet to Jimmy Weatherly (who wrote Midnight Train to Georgia and most of Gladys Knight's big hits . . and who also was a quarterback for the Ole Miss Rebels) to B B King, football players from Jerry Rice to Walter Peyton to Brett Farv to Archie Manning, actors from Morgan Freeman to Sela Ward, and four Miss Americas all hale from Mississippi. NASA has a space center located in Mississippi. Toyota and Nissan are located there. What is gross about any of this?? It is a wonderful place and you should visit it some time before you form such an opinion.
