   I carry a gun every single day. I have the proper licence and follow all of the carry laws. I'm sorry to burst your bubble gun haters. But it's my 2nd amendment right to bear arms and I don't see that changing any time soon. If you don't like move to china.

   I was hoping he would pull through or we would hear it wasn't as serious as it sounded. Rest in Peace Mr. Lacara the world is indeed a sadder place when those who help us to teach and guide our children to grow are taken from the world. My thoughts are with the Lacara family. Wish there was more we could do 🙁

   @PHL: It must be awful to live in such fear everyday that you feel the need to carry a gun every day. I feel sorry for anyone who lives their day to day life afraid.

     It's called having peace of mind in an uncontrollable world. Use your brain for something more than a snark generator and you may see that some people have a right to that peace of mind if they are law abiding and do not harm anyone. Example of why many wish to have a CCP like PHL does, I walked into a store in NJ in 98 during a visit and saw a guy at the counter yelling at a woman working there. I listened for a sec longer and could hear him demanding money from the register or he said he would "make her bleed if you don't open the *&@#*^#% register". I was in a position if I had a CCP I could have drawn and had him at gunpoint until police arrived before his hand ever got near his coat pocket. Alas I did not and he pulled one out and started shooting the hell out of the store. I got the hell out of there at that point and frantically phoned the police, I read that she was ok later so luck was on her side. Many are NOT so lucky in those instances. So having read that do you think that everyone who has a CCP or wishes to have one is a potential murderer? If so then you can't see past your blinders into the real world.

   I went to that school and he was my princable for 5 years and him and jone. Were reAlly good friends I can't belive jone would do tht me and the princable were really close sames with me and the janitore jone

   School janitors gave me the creeps when I was a kid. They weren't very outgoing, and kinda lurked around. Like the 'wallflower' of a dysfunctional family, you grow up with them and see them every day, but can't remember them being there, other than that they were there. I don't even recall my grade school janitor ever saying 'hello'. Anyway, creepy.

     Philip don't fear the custodians. It's more likely a school teacher will bent you over before a custodian would . Read the papers fool.

   @Carol...do you pray for the victims of every shooting you read about or see on tv? There are an awful lot of them ya know. If ya got about an hour, I will list the names of just those that I know personally for you, and then you can spend the next three weeks praying for them. (and that's with an hour for lunch, and two 20 min. breaks) he he, just pulling your leg Carol. And the people who criticize my spelling here have actually helped me spell more better than I used to could. Lotsa spell checkers...not one single grammar master. Kinda wierd. Creepy even. lmao

   @Carol...no doubt about it. (kids and many animals can 'feel' how creepy some people are) Except for cats. he he...one of my cats, Ivy, would snuggle up next to Ted Bundy or George Bush! (that just wasn't nice of me) My other cat, Pepe'...he is a loner. Kinda snooty even. He thinks he's the cat's meow. You could be Jesus and it would take several months before he even acknowledged you were there! But dogs, they can literally smell a creep from a mile away. The dogs I've been privledged to have anyway. My doggies are all gone now, and my cats kinda leave keeping the creeps away to me. And so far, neither of them have been molested. 🙂

     You're cats seem like ours-we're lucky to have them (& we are). I've had one dog who actually "nipped" a neighbor we were "friendly" with at the time. We never did get over the way she would growl softly whenever she spotted him. We went so far as to reaccess our friendsip, and quietly became "too busy", until it ended. Only person she ever acted like that with (we had 6 dogs at the time-all big0but I guess they thought she had it covered-also, she was the Alpha dog). Years later he was arressted for raping a woman & went away to jail...Get another dog! When my kids were younger, I lined p pictures of movie stars, the president, ect. & Ted Bundy and asked them to "pick out" the serial killer. You got it-the lesson they learned. Can't judge a book by it's cover. They all still talk about that...I must say it did make an impression, even to me.

   Carol...my point is that I barely have the time to say meaningful prayers concerning those whom I personally know and love...family and extended family, friends, co-workers, neighbors...and my prayers contain intimate details that i would never broadcast here. "To know you is to love you", so I find prayers concerning those whom I don't know anything about(other than heresay news) lack meaning. As far as prayers concerning earthquakes and lawlessness and wars...I don't see God answering prayers for these things to end right away, since it was his son who foretold their occurance. If God kept them from happening, his son would then be a liar. These things will continue to happen until God ends them at his own appointed time. That's what the bible says anyway.

     I do believe the Bible also Philip. I pray every morning, sometimes for a solid hour or more. I do generalize "world peace" in my prayers, but I do include specific people that I don't know (such as those affected today-and also Gifford's tragedy in Tucson), accident victims I've read about, I just pray. It gives me peace and power. God does listen. I've had too many miracles in my life to which I can & do attribute directly to prayer. I pray much more for the world & individuals now then I did when my children were younger, I didn't have time then. I've prayed for people I've never met really all my life. I used to walkto Mass and on the way home stop at a small cemetary, very old & definately long-forgotten, not of my faith, and kneel in front of every tombstone and pray to God to hear my prayer. My parents always knew where to find me. But, I wondered if it only took MY PRAYERS to help them into Heaven, how could I NOT Pray? I'm not a Saint-far from it; but I do believe in the power of prayer, no matter the religion. I live my life with a "Pay As You Go" motto. If I do something wrong, I correct it. If I inadvertently walk out of a store with something I forgot to pay for-I don't consider it a "bargain", for certainly I have a CHOICE to Pay now-or at the Gates to Heaven. I prefer now, don't want to be reminded at the Pearly Gates of my "bargain". People on here like you, Elizabeth, and others give me inner strength, we on this Earth can't all be bad, there is Hope Look how many truly believe in God. In Prayer. I am extremely confusing to most I meet, and to my husband. (to say the least). I stop to give money, yes, even in "bad" areas to people who are asking. It's not my job to decide how they spend it, just it's my way of thanking God & recognizing how very blessed my family has been financially, among other ways. I volunteer, had all my children volunteer. School & volunteering were their jobs. Even through college. (Though by then I didn't need to "encourage" them-they "got it". You try and pass on your blessings. Also confusing, I imagine to Elizabeth-here I am a Woman wh prays multiple times a day, carries a gun next to my rosary (well-sometimes – they are both ALWAYS with me)...Like I tell my family & friends, my list of "questions for God" grows, sometimes daily; but, I'm counting on the fact that when we get to Heaven, there will be no need for questions. (I also say Novenas to my Patron Saints. They get pestered quite a bit-St. Jude & St. Anthony. ) May God Bless you & your family Philip, you WILL be in my prayers.      I DON't pray for all bad things not to happen, just that the families left behind receive God's blessing & help; that the souls of those departed rejoice in Heaven. There will be a Judgement Day afterall.
