Ads for the everyman

Miller High Life markets itself as the beer for the everyman. And now the company is launching an ad campaign for the everyman too.

Miller High Life will air new commercials that revolve around the customer. Consumers will be able to sign up with Miller High Life to be "sponsored" and will then have the choice of receiving a $1 check, a $1 coupon for Miller High Life or donating $1 to U.S. veterans.

Windell Middlebrooks, the man starring in the ads, talks to T.J. Holmes about the philosophy behind the Miller High Life campaign and gives American Morning a preview of a new commercial.

Watch American Morning weekdays 6am to 9am ET. For the latest from American Morning click here.

    I'm afraid to even know how you came up with this...lol...unless you set up the entire thing to get to the Egyptian punchline!

    Although I do agree with the Corona/beef skirt steak w/grilled onions! Yum!

    On a more serious note, why would anyone even consider NOT donating $1 to U.S. veterans? Jeez, could a dollar off coupon for one's brew really mean that much to one?

    @banasy, I agree with you, and I would gladly donate, but I also think retired veterans and active soldiers need a raise. If Uncle Sam can afford billions abroad, he should take care of our military folks too.

    All these go together...drunks and car wrecks where people die or get hurt for life, drunks and drugs that causes high crime rates, drunks and domestic violence where a spouse or child gets battered. There is not any good that comes from guzzling alcohol. Its a poison and a cancer and 1 of the leading causes of crime and death in he USA!

    @Cesar:
    You are spot-on. Our military needs to be taken care of; however, there should be stop-faults put in place so that some less honorable don't abuse the military benefit system. Of course, that's true of ANY benefits systems...there will always be those who try to cash in when not qualified...but that's another debate!

    Bottom line, we need to take care of our citizens, too. Period!

    @AMERICA:

    So what's the answer? Prohibition? Yeah, that worked well, didn't it?

    @Mmmm: Then why have so many veterans had a hard time with medical insurance issues when back home?

    @Mmmmmm:
    While it's true a portion of our federal incomes taxes do go for VA benefits, it's obvious more is needed...and the Miller Brewing Company recognizes that. How sad that you can't. So, due to the many tax loop-holes, the people who can afford to pay more in taxes don't. And now the Miller Brewing Company is reaching out to the "everyman" to help our vets, when the people who can, won't.

    @chrissy:
    Hi! Everything ok with your daughter? I hope so!

      The health options are already provided for. Maybe miller beer should use the funds toward housing for homeless veterans.
