Fifty-three dead in 3 days in Ciudad Juarez, official says

Fifty-three people were killed in a 72-hour span in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, making it one of the deadliest three-day periods in recent memory, state attorney general's office spokesman Arturo Sandoval told CNN Sunday.

Among the dead were four police officers from three different agencies, Sandoval said.

"This is the worst violence we've seen this year," he said, referring to the three days from Thursday through Saturday.

It's too bad our own US government is allowing this to happen; they are part of the problem. But it's not about the "war on drugs", compassion or humanity. It's all about the money. Legalize all drugs like Portugal did and drug use and gang violence goes down. Prohibition of alcohol has taught a lesson and our government doesn't want to listen to it!

This is why residents of Arizona, like me, love guns. No one will ever try to deprive me of my liberties without a stand-up fight. Mexican criminals, which encompasses drug dealers and illegal immigrants, have already shown flagrant disregard for American laws. Why should I expect them to stop their extortion and kidnapping when they get to my front door?

drug dealers and illegal immigrants? That's what defines "Mexicans"? Did you know this is 2011? Google can help you get up to date with real facts about anything you'd like to know. Real facts.

Mexico has all but fallen to the cartels. The "government" down there doesn't have the balls to bring in sufficient firepower to take care of the problem properly. For what? Just like in the middle east, there are more than enough people willing to die or be killed to keep this going indefinitely. Money or Allah, no difference.

The problem will be likely solved FOR Mexico when enough violence bleeds over the border to get the attention of the pansy pacifists in the US government.

Those who have never done any hard drugs really don't know what they are proposing by making meth, heroin and cocaine legal. Most people have at least tried pot and alcohol, and know they are not seriously addicting. Most people are not aware that narcotics were legal in this country as well as others. They were made illegal because of the negative effect they had on society. Coca cola once had cocaine in it and opium was widely used in different cure alls. Most these cure alls were peddled by snake oil salesmen who were just out to rip people off and make a buck. I think most of you including our politicians either really want to do drugs legally or you're too cowardly to fight this drug war where it begins at the manufacturer. As someone who has actually done drugs I can assure you that you don't want them all made legal. Maybe you should try hitting rock bottom with no money and a screwed up mind. It takes years to fully recover from a serious addiction. Making hard drugs illegal would not end the problems.

How do you do that when another country is freely allowing drugs into ours to poison it? Oh right we have to beat down that country, not ask them nicely to stop...

So once again, Mexico leaders took cash from drug lord. Turned a blind eye and poisoned the world, mostly America. When Mexcian leaders changed and didn't play along the drug lords started murdering people...

And some how it's America's fault and our mess?

Really? Gun down ever drug runner who enters the USA, keep them in Mexico...when the money runs out they will either fall apart or destroy South America and I bet their armies will have less tolerance to the drugs and murder trade.

Grow up Mexcio, you took money from the drug lords so long...YOU FIX IT YOURSELVES.
