Fifty-three people were killed in a 72-hour span in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, making it one of the deadliest three-day periods in recent memory, state attorney general's office spokesman Arturo Sandoval told CNN Sunday.
Among the dead were four police officers from three different agencies, Sandoval said.
"This is the worst violence we've seen this year," he said, referring to the three days from Thursday through Saturday.

Shut Down the El Paso Border, I was in Jarez 2 years ago, on the day I was in town, 16 police officers were killed. A very dangerous city, 3 times biger than el paso. Pull the Maquiliadoras out of Juarez.
Wow, what an in-depth article, one sentence.

I once loved to visit Mexico, now the good people of that country pay the toll of lost tourist $$.
Next time you losers in the USA toke up and/or take it straight to your vein, remember the resulting damage of the rush to bring you your drugs asap, You will be judged for the ramifications of your choices, unless you repent and turn away. USA Govt. & USA Military do not have jurisdication over your addicted body and mind. That is why the "war on drugs" is a spiritual war, cannot be won on the physical level, it is a spiritual war to claim your soul for Hell.
Buy Kentucky pot...it's our number one cash crop, always has been, always will be.
The Drug Addict American Society is the main and real problem here since America is the # 1 Drug Consumer in The world !
CNN – a little DETAIL in this article would be nice! Was this ONE incident? Two? Fifty three?? Were these all drub related? How gathering about some information before posting a headline?? Is the news editor out on a ciggy break??
It's crazy that this is happening a few miles right across the border from my home in El Paso, Texas. Luckily this absolutely doesn't affect any aspect of my life or most 650,000 El Pasoans. There is a big misconception out there that this is happening on our US bordertowns... well, I can tell you, it's not. I probably run across a story or two every couple of weeks about the Drug War, but other than that, I hear about as much of it as most Americans.
Do we even need to bother reporting any greater details? It's Mexico and it's just an after thought in most Americans' minds, anyway.
I'm surprised there were that many people in Juarez still left to kill.
Nothing good has ever come from Mexico ..... well..... maybe Tacos
