Video purportedly shows slain Libyan soldiers who refused orders

Video has been posted on YouTube of what CNN is told are six badly burned bodies of Libyan soldiers in open body bags.

The video, taken on a cell phone, was posted on Monday. It is not known when it was taken. Opposition sources in Libya say the bodies are of soldiers who refused to shoot at anti-government demonstrators.

The video, which is just over a minute long, shows a crowd gathered around the bodies. With sirens wailing in the background, the person with the camera pushes through the crowd to the bodies laid out in a line, charred beyond recognition. The sources say many more bodies were found in an adjacent military barracks. CNN staff say the accents heard on the video are North African. It has not been possible for CNN to otherwise independently verify the video.

Warning: Due to the graphic nature of this video, viewer discretion is advised.

Tyhouston-don't you dare think you speak for all Vets. Soldiers are to do what they are told and NOT THINK. All wars since WWII are scams. Iraq was Cheney's time to get his just former Haliburton untold $billions in NO BID contracts. Going to war is the largest and most important decision a President makes and Bush showed very well what happens when our President is really dumb (a C- college student) When the smartest one in the family is named Jeb, well nuff said. The US would sell Texas to Mexico except then we'd lose control of all of those who live there and don't realize it's all wrong=you're hoodwinked, now do what you're told!!

I don't know what military unit you served in Jim, but in the U.S. Military I served in we were taught to differentiate between lawful and unlawful orders and were held accountable for not thinking.

After rereading your comment jim, I believe you were being sarcastic about the not thinking part...my bad. Otherwise, I agree with a lot of what you said and the Jeb part actually made me laugh out loud.

I agree with you overall but soldiers are not idiots and at least in the US armed forces the concept of illegal orders is taught in boot camp and is a respected part of the UCMJ, I suspect most countries do the same, these men sacrificed their lives rather than follow an illegal and immoral order, this is to be respected and honored, never let your distaste for the "leaders" confuse the respect that service people deserve and EARN

CNN = "Central" News Network (Unbiased)
    Fox = Right Wing (Conservative)
    Fixed it for you.
    (end quote)

CNN = CABLE News Network (not Central), and they are indeed very biased. Witness their low ratings.

The twit video that I saw via english.aljazeera.com identified the charred bodies as protesters that were bombed by Gadhafi's air force. But who really knows?!

All those people are Animals, no matter the country, religion or what side they are on. From the Terrorists to the Protesters to the Governments. They are not Human, they don't posses the intelligence to have the values necessary to live like people, thus they live like animals. Unfortunately they share this planet with the actual human race, it's inevitable that the civilized people will have get together in order to eliminate these degenerates at some point, WW3, I am pretty sure we'll win.

Technically Namor all the human race is classified as animals, hence no matter how we act, we are acting like animals. The online dictionary defines intelligence as: capacity for learning, reasoning, understanding; which In my opinion seems to be lacking in your opinion. What values are necessary to live like people? Would trying to exterminate "animals" who don't think as we do count as one of those values that you think are necessary to live like people? Your statement seems to belie your intelligence and brings your values into question.

@Jay Harmon, you are a Moron. Don't try to act cute by showing off your fancy vocabulary. Unlike you I grew up in an Arab country and my family had to run away to avoid being killed in a civil war. So when I say these people are animals, I am speaking from experience. I am sure you grew up in Any Town, USA and have no F'n clue what you are talking about besides reading CNN. You want to experience it first hand, I suggest you get on a plane and fly to one of the "Human" countries, I'll be eating popcorn watching you get beheaded on Youtube by your "Human" friends.

    Quoting an article…

atching Fox News leaves viewers less informed and more prone to believing misinformation, according to a study conducted by the WorldPublicOpinion.org at the University of Maryland.

Try to keep up bitless, that study was disproved before the ink dried.
