Death penalty for woman convicted in vigilante killings

Jurors in Arizona decided Tuesday on the death penalty as the punishment for anti-illegal immigration activist Shawna Forde (pictured), who was convicted of killing a Latino man and his 9-year-old daughter during a vigilante raid, a
court spokeswoman said.

Ummm, this was not a "vigilante raid." It was in fact fund raising at gunpoint.

What this person did was monstrous, but the state's murder of her in the coldest blood is no less monstrous.

I hesitate to even label her a vigilante . More like a resentful, bigotted murderess. I hate that our govt doesnt do more to keep our borders secure but this is not justice ,its murder .

People of the United States of America and President Obama,
Since I do not know the whole story on this crime,it appears on the face of it the death penalty is in order. But,if the government would put the miltary on the border and do it's job these vigilante groups would not exist. Not that it matters but was the man and his daughter in the country illegally?

Historically vigilante groups in the United States were watchful of violent criminal situations, not that it makes it more legal. When does the invasion of a home and the killings of a father and his child fall under the watch of a vigilante group. No it does not matter that this man and child were in the country illegally. This was cold and premeditated human murder.

Not only were they legal, they were Americans. She was robbing people to pay for her vigilante operations. She had been kicked out of one vigilante organization for being too unstable. She started her own vigilante group.

Ok, *she* wasn't illegal, *she* was an anti-illegal activist. Therefore, *she* can't be deported to Mexico, since she's not from Mexico. The people she killed were from Mexico.

What she did was horrendous, but she was found guilty in a court of law and sentenced to death. Whether one feels the death penalty is monstrous or not, the jury of Arizona have spoken.

Her measures were stupid and extreme, and she was caught and will be punished.

Just in case one doesn't know, illegal immigration *is* against the law, both here and in Canada. Have your forgotten that, Lindsay? Rhetorical question.

PLEASE do NOT use my taxpayer $ to feed this monster while she's on death row.

She had NO mercy killing that innocent little girl and showed NO remorse.

PLEASE fry her;or give her a needle but get RID of her and do it NOW!

I misspoke. The victims were in fact American-born. Sorry!

But she does deserve the sentence she received. Vigilante justice almost always goes awry, and this woman's actions prove that.

Her accomplices go on trial later...I hope the jury returns the same verdicts.

She's *hot*? Only if one likes unrepentant murdering haters!

I hear prison ain't all that. In fact, people who don't go there, i.e. you and I, by and large, don't wanna go there. I also hear that cases like this, involving children, generally get handled much quicker in prison than through the courts. I'm sure prisoners are watching tv, placing bets. And making plans. And, ya know, i bet it's the same everywhere, even Canada. The government should never kill its own citizens. Ya know, like we're tryin to tell Mo.

Two wrongs sometimes dont make a right when a innocent child is killed.
The death penalty is harsh. I wish they would of gave more information on why this women decided to take matter into her own hands instead of going through the courts.

Through the courts? She and her accomplicies broke into this family's house, guns blazing, and claiming they were looking for someone who was supposed to be deported. Her mother testified against her, that she told her she was going to rob people of their money and drugs.

The thing is these people had no stash of money as she thought. If she had managed to kill everybody, they would simply say it was a drug Cartel.

Immigration is a tough subject.when any social issue gets out of control something has to be done.for more than one or two serious self inflicted reasons this issue is out of control. Americans can't get jobs because they aren't bi-lingual.bad bad! So was this witch, no bleeding heart here, do her slow and very painful!
