3 children dead, 1 missing after being swept away in Kentucky creek

The bodies of three of four children who were swept away in a creek swollen by storm waters were recovered early Friday morning, authorities in Kentucky said.

The children were traveling with their family in a horse-drawn carriage on a flooded street in Graves County when the carriage flipped over Thursday evening, said Jerry Beasley, a Kentucky State Police spokesman.

@Val – You've got to be kidding that you just said that and made yourself look like the biggest idiot on here. You are obviously the one who didn't read the article, or you have never had the experience of being on flooded streets before.

CNN needs to somehow screen comments before they are posted. They don't reflect CNN or the views of the general population.

I have been on a street where all of a sudden it was flooded where it had not been when I started crossing it.....I wasn't trying to cross anything but the street. Next?

Please give thought to this family who must be experiencing something no parent would ever want to experience. I may be an idiot, but if I can do anything to help this community, I would. Questioning why they were crossing water is just plain moot at this point.

As usual, there is NO mention of what happened to the poor horse! They are the silent victims of the Amish industry, along with dogs in puppy mills.

Prayers for the community. May God continue to bless and protect the Amish – one of the cleanest, most beautiful people on earth. They deserve the whole planet.

Blue eyes, red hair, and blond hair are all products of incest. That doesn't mean they are bad things. Your aversion to incest is based on culture not science which shows that there is very little additional risk with incest unless it is repeated over time with negative problems since positive ones would also amplify over time. Einstein and Darwin both married first cousins. France has no incest laws as is similar in other countries. Again, the aversion is cultural. Abraham and Sarah were very strongly related (read it yourself.)

Oh-Really, the children of Adam and Eve inter-married; that was the only way possible. I heard brother and sister married in ancient Egypt. The law of Moses clearly and definitely prohibits incest. Marrying a cousin should not be considered as incest, though it is not wise biologically.

You might want to get a concordance for your Old Testament. Adam and Eve were only the first 'Adamic' people, the firother the bloodline through which Christ would come. Check it out and see 🙂 answers a lot of questions thereafter, to include how Cain could find a wife in the land of Nod. God created all the races on the 6th day and it was good. He realized he didn't have a man to till the soil so he created 'ha adam', THE Adam through which Christ would come.

Where I'm from (Central, Pennsylvania) we live in foothills. There are places where you don't have a choice on another road in the valley. Kentucky typically has some rolling landscape as well, so perhaps they didn't really have a choice about what to do?

It's the way of evolution. It's not personal against a single person, but a group as a whole.. Amish are against evolution in everything they do so they will be wiped out eventually so heckling them is a way to help insure survival of the human race.
