German official: Airport gunman a Muslim who wanted to kill American troops

The man who shot and killed two American troops in Germany Wednesday was a recently radicalized Muslim whose aim was to kill American soldiers, a German official said Thursday.

The suspect seems to have been acting on his own, but had spent time on local radical Islamist websites, said Boris Rhein, interior minister of the German state of Hesse, where the shooting took place.

The 21-year-old man from Kosovo is in custody after two U.S. airmen were
killed and two others were wounded Wednesday in a shooting on a U.S. military bus at Frankfurt Airport, authorities said.

The suspect is named Arid Uka, from the northern town of Mitrovica,
Kosovo's interior minister, Bajram Rexhepi, told CNN, citing the U.S. Embassy in Pristina as his source.

And who have they killed. Don't get me wrong – they are nuts – but I don't see them out there killing anyone.

I abhor those cretins, but they've never killed anybody! Totally different, brainiac.

Precisely; while their actions are inhumane and deplorable, they never physically harm anyone, much less out right murder people as radical Islamics do. Not to be divisive but in the teachings of the Muslim faith, jihad and elimination of infidels is encouraged and seen as the only answer for non-believers; they can dress it up in any manner of PC terms they wish, but the fact of the matter is, there is a sizable portion of that religious base that sees killing non-Muslims as completely justifiable.....something which very few Christian radicals would side with.

It is time for the president and the people of the world to admit that Islam is evil, a threat to freedom and peace.

Don't give this waste-of-space any hope of getting to the virgins – inject him with a cc of pig's blood, neuter him so no possibility of ever reproducing if set free by some stupid judge or government somewhere, and put him in isolation with non-stop reading of the Torah blaring from overhead speaker day and night (24×7). Much better than execution

Are they sure about this? I was convinced it was a tea partier who did the shooting. After all, Islam as we all know is a religion of peace, love and tolerence.

CNN has become pawns in the manner they report this type of "news". Who are they afraid to offend? Muslims? There are no such descriptions as islamist extremists, or moderate muslims. "Muslim" (period) is the only proper term to use. Have you seen the ridiculous performance of Spitzer on his show when he, in my opinion, made a buffoon of himself when he asked and practically begged this arrogant, piddling, inconsequential so-called Tehran University professor not to think ill of him. I just ticked-tocked my head with unbelief when I heard this. No more Spitzer on my TV!!!

Im ashamed and whole Kosovo feels sorry what happened in Frankfurt. Kosovo is 80 % Muslims but Kosovars are not radical or real Muslims either....history did its job couple of centuries ago and now they are Muslims. The German government stamped him as a Kosovar and he was born in Germany and his parents immigrated their 4 decades ago. It is like calling an American Italian an Italian.my regards go to families of the soldiers. May they rest in peace
