Friday's intriguing people

Denise Richards

As if Charlie Sheen didn’t have enough problems, like having his show canceled and sons taken, now his ex-wife is saying he poses a risk to their daughters, TMZ reported. Richards said she is “disgusted” with Sheen and called him unstable, saying she didn’t want him or his “goddesses” – girlfriends Bree Olsen and Natalie Kenly – around daughters Sam, 6, and Lola, 5, according to the website.

The Rev. Delman Coates

The senior pastor of Mt. Ennon Baptist Church Clinton, Maryland, is livid with the NAACP for including hip-hop stars in its lineup for the Image Awards on Friday, reported. Coates, who heads the Enough is Enough Campaign for Corporate Responsibility in Entertainment, called the move “unconscionable” and said it defied “the aspirations and dreams of the mainstream of the African-American community.” The show, which will take place in Los Angeles, is slated to include Kanye West, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Diddy and other rappers.

Roger Ebert

The Chicago Sun-Times film critic will be the final presenter at the TED 2011 conference in Long Beach, California, on Friday. He’ll reveal how technology has allowed him to replace his jaw and restore his voice.  Five years ago, Ebert lost his jaw and voice box because of  complications from salivary gland cancer. In 2010, news broke that a company, CereProc, had created a way to digitally reconstruct Ebert’s voice via his myriad “At the Movies” TV appearances. Ebert can digitally recall those words via a keyboard and a computer program. The conference is the premier annual event organized by TED, a nonprofit whose motto is "Ideas worth spreading."

Thank you, Denise for protecting your children from the publicity and from the unstable goings on at their father's home. I hope he gets the help he needs, but meantime, they need not to see what has been going on.

I am simply horrified that CNN would choose anyone related to the Sheen story as most intriguing anything.

charlie sheen should be treated the same way any other father would be treated as far as visitation with his girls. & kudos 2 his ex for making sure that happens. the best thing is 2 keep them away until he proves that hes clean & maybe supervised visits
