Strong earthquake shakes Japan

A tsnuami alert has been issued after an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.2 struck off the coast of Japan's main island of Honshu on Wednesday afternoon, the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The quake, at a depth of 10 kilometers, struck at 12:45 p.m. local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

Oh its random. No connections. It's alright. If it was important, someone would be so on this right now, and we would know all about the reason why. I have faith. Winning!

The Bible tells us that we will not know the end date of the world and he will come in the clouds like the twinkling of an eye followed by the sound of trumpets. The date for the end of the world is only the Lords to know. We will not ever have that knowledge. So for scientists to claim that 2012 will be the end of us, its just like they claimed the year 2000 was doom day did that happen NO....I believe something will happen in 2012 but it wont be the end of the world. It might be the alignment of planets or forces of nature being stronger. I predict that in 2012 the number of the beast is going to be upon us and HELL on earth will emerge.

"Maybe the end of the world is THIS year, and NOT in 2012?" "Maybe?" "MAYBE"????! Incredibly stunning!

There IS no "MAYBE", there is only truth and fact. "The way things are going?" Don't even look at that, The Truth is written as stone IN the Word. Christ is the "chief stone" 1Pe 2:6, Christ is "the Word" John 1:1-15. The "Word" is the "Sword" Eph 6:17. The coming "Sword" is Christ at Judgment Day 1Pe 4:5-7.

Judgment Day IS May 21st of THIS year! 2Pe 3:8, Ge 7:4. We have but 71 days, the Bible GUARANTEES this! Acts 17:31

Ez 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

Cry mightily unto God for His mercy. Ps 51:17, Jonah 3:8-10

I'm ready for this world to end. Most of us aren't living anymore but merely existing. Unless you are a millionaire, you can pretty much count on being nothing more than a statistic anyways. The article on the EPA by the way is crap. It's called aircrap. We aren't experiencing global warming. The EPA Division of Climate along with NASA and NOAA and the Department of Defense are killing our air and water and blaming it on Global Warming. Al Gore is an evil jerk. The entire Illuminati is behind this. Maybe it's better to have blinders on.

Why is it that so many earthquakes occurring after HAARP activity all happen to be at 10km in depth? People need to do some research and wake up to the fact that weather modification/warfare has crossed over from the realm of science fiction into scientific fact decades ago.

I'm not sure I understand the question. While the activity is likely to be anywhere these quakes at 10km in depth occur, the HAARP facility itself is based in Alaska. There are a lot of outlandish claims against HAARP, so I'd encourage you to research it yourself before coming to any conclusion. Don't take anything I say as fact, and the same goes for anything anyone else says to you. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions. Everyone in this World, my self included, have their own agenda and are as such biased. Best of luck in your pursuit for truth, I'm not sure it even exists anymore.

fyi, there are now more haarp facilities now than just the one in fairbanks, alaska. they also exist in Norway, Ukraine, Russia, Tadzhikistan, and Puerto Rico. Sal is right, do your own research and think for yourselves. don't let the mainstream media being your only "filter" of news...

i did some research, just because the main base is in alaska doesn't mean anything. if you had done your research you would know they put a giant panel in space that they simply reflect the haarp off of and then can then pinpoint any target as big as a country or down to the size of a pin. i love technology.

I agree Sal. There are many scientific experiments/operations, including HAARPS which put our earth in jeopardy thus putting all of us in jeopardy, but no one or should I say no collective group of people questions what is going on or tries to put a stop to these abuses to our habitat. Many of these projects use billions of dollars which could be put to good use helping the poor and victims of disaster. The motivation behind these projects are greed or curiousity (trying to know and possess God's knowledge like in the Super Haldron Collider and other colliders, like the Even more Super and Bigger Haldron Collider is being built in China). The problem is, most people don't know about these technologies and projects, esp. HAARPS, and the potential and real harm they cause. You would have to educate the public first for them to get their government officials and the legal system involved.

not an issue. Too far offshore for direct damage. Not strong enough for significant waves. Maybe CNN, who claims to be the worlds' leader in news, should you know, maybe check with an expert before blaring false alarms to the entire world?

um.. the USGS issued the alert. CNN is simply letting you know that the alert is out. An alert is not a warning. It's just information. perhaps you should be the one checking the USGS.

uh...yeah....I actually live over here. And am quite a bit north of where this originated and so didn't bear the brunt of it, but there was actually some damage here. You'd be surprised how far reaching an earthquake of that magnitude can be.
