Giffords to attend shuttle Endeavour launch

U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords plans to attend the launch of the space shuttle endeavor on April 19, almost three months after she was shot in the head outside a Tucson, Arizona, supermarket, spokesman C.J. Karamargin said.

Giffords' husband, Mark Kelly, is the shuttle mission's commander.

God bless the doctors that have given her life back. She is someone that that is to be very proud of and I hope that some day she will return to Congress.

Oy - what a media circus that will be. Seriously, the broad wasn't injured ANY WHERE NEAR what the media reported or she wouldn't be attending this thing just a few weeks after stopping a bullet with her skull. Hey – you know I'm right.

No shes not. She is a survivor, victim, and strong, but no hero. The judge who died was a hero. He sacrificed his life literaly for others. I hope she fully recovers but this over prasing has got to stop.

This woman is the kind of inspiration this country needs. She represents hope and not fear.

Moose – you seem to be the only idiot wanting 15 minutes of fame. One of your posts is enough to make anyone sick. You should be ashamed of yourself. It is people like you that makes our great country tainted by your rhetoric. Forget which political party she is affiliated with. She is a great person. And the fact that she can attend her husband big day says a lot about her love of her husband. You need some love in your heart. Try and get help. It must be horrible walking around being you.

Tell ya all what-lets rewind the clock to that fateful day in Tuscon. Which one of you has yje courage to take her place and let that SOB shoot you in the head and face the trials that go along with it. And don't forget her sadness at loosing her friends. Doesn't matter who she is or how much she has. Pain is pain abd death is death. Maybe you would like to change places with the 9 year old child or any other victim dead or alive??? No? thought so.

If it was up to me I would strap her shooter to the outside of the space shuttle so that Gifford could say goodbye to him.

He was ready to relinquish command if she was in danger. She has progressed to the poiint where he can be spared for the mission. Would you really want your husband to give up the crowning mission of his career when you were clearly on the mend, had the best of care, and other family on hand? This lady is not a clinging vine!

Everyday many innocent people die because of gang shootings, car accidents, freak of nature and those stories are never covered in the media. These people are not rich and can barley afford there medical coverage while Gifford can get the best care money can buy. I am happy she survivied but let's not forget about the innocent people who can't afford there medical bill.

A lot of people who posted here had no clue who the hell Gifford was til lthe shootings and now you wishing her well? B.S. this is the real life and stop pretending you live in a fairy tail world. Truth is, i could care less about all political people because they look out for themselves and not the people. Ya, you can see she the nicest but deep down, she is one rich woman who will say anything to stay in office.

Let's focus on the border issue and not a recovering Gifford. Because of the illegal's a lot of american's don't have jobs these days because the illegal's will work for cheap. I held back a lot in this post but stop the BS talk and keep it real.
