Newly released photos of Hitler's wife
Life.com has obtained a set of newly released photos from the personal albums of Eva Braun, Adolf Hitler's longtime girlfriend and, in their final hours, wife.
The photos "reveal new dimensions" of the woman who married Hitler as the Russian army closed in on his Berlin bunker and then committed suicide with him a day later. He was 56. She was 33.
The 30 photos cover almost all of Braun's life, from images of her as a toddler and schoolgirl to her spending time with Hitler at his mountaintop retreat in the Alps.
Among the most interesting images are those of Braun posing seemingly naked behind an umbrella and her made up as American actor Al Jolson in his role in "The Jazz Singer."
The photos come from "a cache of images confiscated by the U.S. Army in 1945 and brought to light by collector and curator Reinhard Schulz," Life.com reports.

eva braun wasn't bad for the 40's but musollini's mistress (petacci)was hotter, too bad they had to shoot her and hang her upside down next to him.
It's not lower standards, just different standards. The top models of today will probably be considered as unattractive when someone looks back at their photos 50 years from now.
Actually she was not the love of Hitler's life but someone who 'threw' herself at him and he responded.

Lowering your standards to beauty in the 1940's? Those considered attractive at the time were Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake, etc. People still consider them attractive today. Beauty is Beauty.

Depends on how you define the term "Model". Model could be anything from a stick in the ground casting a shadow, to a person unattractive, an animal or a Goddess.
Obviously she wasn't a fashion model at her age when the photo was taken.

Actually there are other pictures of her where she appears more attractive than this. She was not a classic beauty, but she was actually pretty. This picture does not do her (physical appearance) justice. Of course, one has to wonder how "beautiful" she was inside to marry a monster like Hitler.

At least this story isn't about his 14 year old cousin, that he had an affair with, then shot. Now that was creepy.
It wasn't his cousin it was his neice.
That was a horrible story, the poor neice did not return his affections, but he was extremely controlling and never let her out of his sight alive. Literally.
