U.S. contractor gets 15-year sentence in Cuba for crimes against the state

U.S. contractor Alan P. Gross was sentenced Saturday to 15 years in prison for crimes against the Cuban state, Cuba's state-run news agency reported.

Gross was arrested 14 months ago on accusations of distributing illegal satellite equipment to connect dissidents to the internet as part of efforts to undermine the government. The prosecution had asked for a 20-year sentence.

The United States says Gross was helping the small Jewish community connect to the internet and that he didn't break any laws.

    If you are hispanic most mexican and you go to u.s.a as a tourist and you work, you are going to be a prisioner facing
    federal charge as long as the judge wants,ice,police,marshall and most of the government mistreat hispanic people in north America. some mexican,central america, chapines,salvadoreños,hondureños,nicas,etc, are living 10,15,20 years they got children born in usa, they spend their life in usa. and you know I saw how they put in jail taking their kids. where is the human rigth, unicef, etc go to brodward center in pompano beach FL.etc, nobody is happy that alan be in jail, but no hispanic people are happy either that obama with their democracy has made more deportation and more redadas than any other president before in the history of usa. what are you talking about violaton? in cuba or any other country of the WORLD
    when you do not treat hispanic etc as a human being. where is the justice? you are not foraging in usa you are ALIEN
    meaning you coming from another planet. if you are not fair why you want cuba government be fair? or any other country come on! GOD BLESS ALL COUNTRY around the world.
