Monday's live video events

Watch Live for continuing coverage of the conflict in Libya and the nuclear crisis in Japan.

Today's programming highlights...

10:00 am ET - Wartime contracting hearing - Federal contracting is the subject of a Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan hearing in Washington.  The commission will look at Pentagon efforts toward saving money on contracting.

12:30 pm ET - Social Security briefing - It seems that everyone has an idea on how to reduce the federal budget deficit.  But should Social Security be touched in the process?  Senate Democrats discuss the issue this afternoon.

2:00 pm ET - Senate back in session - Senate lawmakers may have been on vacation last week, but they've had a lot on their minds these last few days, including Libya and government spending.  Both issues will likely top their agendas today.

7:30 pm ET - Obama talks Libya - President Obama will speak to the nation about Libya from Fort McNair in Washington. Live is your home for breaking news as it happens.
