Gadhafi letter pleads for stop to NATO bombing

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi sent a letter to President Barack Obama urging him to stop the NATO bombings, a senior administration official said Wednesday.

Ex-U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon, who met with Gadhafi within the last decade, paid a visit to the Libyan capital with a cease-fire plan and a clear message to the embattled ruler that he must step down.

"It's a very solemn time because there's so much at risk here," said Weldon, who led a congressional delegation to Libya in 2004 and is visiting Tripoli at Gadhafi's invitation.

I seriously have doubts the rebels are members of Al Queda. When they were protesting for Muammar's resignation they weren't blowing up stuff. The protests were peaceful. The sure sign of fanatic islam is a bomb or some form of killing.

Don't read too much into VilliagePeople's post: he perfectly understated his joke. You ruined it by beating it to death.

@GF: typically people type "haha" or "lol" or 😀 or 🙂 after jokes online. You act like there aren't paranoid conspiracy theorists running around on these sites. I see far more extreme viewpoints on here than I do rational thinking. Forgive me internet oracle. I'm going to go cut myself now.... Haha

MOAMMAR – $4 gas is here. Don't buy gas on Fridays. Maybe we'll stop the bombing on Fridays too, but I doubt it. According to the CIA, Libya produces 1.5% of our total demand. So why are speculators predicting 5 or 6 by summer. I bet you do know. 🙂

The letter itself is a comedy of errors . Gadhafi doesnt even know Obamas name ,much less how spell it correctly . It actually made me laugh in an awkward kinda way . He even threw an Abu in there .no joke . I think he knows his days are numbered .

Gadaffi had absolutely nothing to do with the the Pan Am flight over Lockerbe. This has been a hoax from the beginning. Gadaffi has been erroneously blamed for this. Libya had nothing to do with this.

Syria should be stable, they have a shield which protects the entire nation. It is a unbreakable shield which is 144 Sigma joules of light (1 proton, no nucleus).
