Gotta Watch: Awkward TSA pat-down moments

We thought we'd bring you some of our most memorable awkward airport pat-down moments after hearing all the buzz from this video. Here, a 6-year-old is filmed by her parents as she gets the full TSA pat-down treatment at an airport in New Orleans.

'Don't touch my junk' guy – How could we forget this guy? During his airport screening, he protests the pat-down by proclaiming the phrase that is only rivaled by the "Don't Tase me bro" guy.

No pat down for me thanks – This young lady is bent on avoiding a pat-down by wearing a skimpy bikini through airport security.

For the bikini wearer, many places would not let her inside calling it inappropriate attire. So I guess it is allowed at airports? I guess only men in thongs will be deemed inappropriate attire? Actually a man wearing no shirt would be refused entry anywhere. If you are that fearful of getting groped being searched to make flight travel safer, don't fly!

Ironically, people would call that lewd behavior. Not if you were hot though.

What we are witnessing is the death of the american airline industry, People are only going to put up with this level of obtrusiveness for so long before deciding that they would rather hop in a car. Between the delays and rude treatment, I only fly when the drive is more than 10 hours. We need to start profiling at the airport and treating the vast majority of travelers a lot better. If I can clear a Secret Service background check to attend a presidential fundraiser, I should be able to get on an airplane without the hassle and invasion of privacy.

Exactly, Jack. I'm taking my family on a vacation this summer and we are driving 12 hours rather than fly, specifically because of this crap. Sure gas prices are high, but it will still cost less than 4 plane tickets. We will sacrifice a few hours for our beliefs. The airlines can all go out of business for all I care.

I guess that you are ignoring that the so-called boycotts that have already taken place have amounted to nothing. These screenings happen. People are aware of them and they still choose to fly.

No Chicken Little, the sky isn't falling.

i would not mind being patted down by a pretty girl. but seeing a little girl get felt up like that is very disturbing. it is almost impossible to watch. i know i would have reacted in a violent manner if anyone touched my daughter like that. at least i know where not to take my daughter to get molested.

@Alec – Ok, let's go with your statements. So, how do you propose things should be done? I clearly stated my proposal. 1. Take the pat-down. 2. Take the full body scan. 3. Don't fly. Please, explain how you would address the problem.

We do need some sort of security, but TSA is a gargantuan organization slowly stripping the US citizen's right away. Just look at this list of TSA foul ups, just the number in March is alarming. And somehow planes aren't falling out of the sky....

The best solution would be to 1) Profile passengers who come from countries where terrorist activities are known to take place, 2) Create a system where passengers could submit to background checks and be ranked by assumed risk, and a passenger would only have to go through this every few years, such as when they renew a passport or driver's license. An individual who had a score of one (US national or immigrant from a country without political upheaval, as well as no criminal charges) would be allowed to pass through without being hassled. A passenger ranked highly (such as someone on a Visa from Yemen and known to belong to an extremist organization) would be thoroughly screened, and possibly denied permission to fly.

Pulling someone's post apart because of spelling is just weak. Find a better argument. Not everyone has perfect spelling or grammar skills. Not everyone is a touch typist. Not everyone cares how eloquently their reply is written, it's the message that counts. Don't get me wrong, if a person's post is sooo badly written that you can't even understand their point, that's different.

I see the spelling "argument" used day in and day out on message boards. Adds nothing to the debate.

Dude, don't lie. You hate it when people can't spell right, makes them look like they don't know what they're talking about.

You're missing the bigger picture. It's not your responsibility to interpret someone's poor grammar, spelling and punctuation. It's their responsiblity to make sure you can read it.

Well in todays society, how are you going to get mad at kids that never learned sufficient spelling, grammar and punctuation. Instead of constantly nagging about it; why don't you do something to halp?

I love how grown adults who can't spell or even write on a 3rd-grade level, always use the "Grammar Nazi" tag when someone calls them on it. Is it unreasonable to expect someone to know how to write if they're going to post something on a public forum? Is that really asking too much? And when these Sound Off forums have a built in spell-check, is there really any excuse for poor spelling?

We teach our children not to allow improper touching by strangers and now we have to tell them, in this instance you have no say. This stranger is going to touch your entire body.

This society of fear serves no good purpose!

They all deserve to be pat-dowm since they violated the "no video allowed" posted in all TSA screening areas. Break the rules and be treated like a rule breaker.

    or simply don't fly!
