When are they going to start fining the refs for making the bad calls in the first place?

Kobe I know you speak Spanish at home with your hot mami wife. Next time throw the slur in Spanish and smile. Say it with me "Pinche Joto!"

Yes and then all the ref has to do is yell back at him spi*k and smile 🙂

In the video he sits down and it looks like he yells the refs name to get his attention, but then he says the gay slur under his breath to himself. Everyone made it seem like he yelled the slur across the court so everyone could hear. What is the big deal?

He is rapist. He is an embarrassment to basketball and to humanity. This guy would be the first one to cry and scream foul if someone used the forbidden N word near him, but because he is the basketball king, he thinks he can talk anyway he wants? Kobe you are a disgrace and you should be banned for life from the court.

for those of you calling Kobe uneducated(ADAM). You should probably do your research before you make yourself look like an idiot. He's more educated then most NBA owners and the idiot who fined him $100,000..How much did Kevin Garnett get fined for calling a player a cancer patient...thats right not a dime

he may be angry; but he could have proved himself to be the better human being and say nothing, or at most something less offensive...some people just have a habit of ready fire aim of the mouth...

I agree, if white player or ref had called him a f****** N-word that player or ref would be run out of the league for life.

Hey insecure white guys: let's not use this as a moment to covertly call someone n*gger. If you don't have the sac to do it in person keep it to yourself.

Soooooooooooo... the dedication and determination it takes to not only make it to the NBA, but thrive and be in contention if not in the conversation for best player EVER to play the game makes you and incompetant, uneducated and ignorant fool? Kobe simply made a way for himself (Admitedly with his fathers help) in a world where people like all you idiots are trying to hold him down. The world is the way the world is and if we're living in a world that places athletes above scientists teachers and other more helpful professions who the "inappropriate comment" would want to do that? Who is the idiot? Who is the one who has set his family strait for the next 2 decades? Who is not falling asleep because they couldnt follow their dreams so they followed whatever it was society told them to do because their too stupid to realize its all for not because money isn't everything in an ideal world but money runs the one we all live in now. Just ask Kobe if you dont beleive me, cuz he aint trippin bout a fine i promise you that! The rest of you would be ruined and your lives are going to be as insignifacant as the inheritance you leave behind. No one knows your name and it will die with you. Sad fact none of you want to admit.

I think he should have been fined. He gets paid MILLIONS of $$$$ to represent the Lakers and the Lakers Brand. There are many kids that watch these games with there parents. I know it's just a game BUT when you're getting paid to play a sport for the public you should be responsibile for what you say.

1611, from It. ghetto "part of a city to which Jews are restricted," various theories of its origin include: Yiddish get "deed of separation;" special use of Venetian getto "foundry" (there was one near the site of that city's ghetto in 1516); Egitto "Egypt," from L. Aegyptus (presumably in memory of the exile); or It. borghetto "small section of a town" (dim. of borgo, of Gmc. origin, see borough). Extended 1892 to crowded urban quarters of other minority groups. Ghetto-blaster "large portable stereo" is from 1982.
The use of ghetto does not apply to Kobe, he is a "prima donna" I don't agree with his actions and think he and all the stars make way too much, I enjoy basketball, it's just too bad they make ridiculous amounts of money, but for now it is what it is. Freedom of speech does not include the right to say what he did, WHERE he did. I served our country for him to say it in the privacy of his home not on TV at his job, it's childish to defend his actions, our country is turning in to a cesspool with behavior like that, we need to raise the bar and have better manners. Treat everyone with respect and quit looking for ways to start a fight.
