Arizona's governor has vetoed a bill that would require President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to prove they were born in the United States before their names could be placed on Arizona's ballots.
Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, said she could not "support designating one person as gatekeeper to the ballot for a candidate."
Under the measure, if there were any dispute about whether a candidate had proved he or she had been born in the United States, Arizona's secretary of state would have the final say.
The Arizona "birther bill" got final approval by a vote of 40-16 last week in the state House. It now will not become law unless legislators vote to override Brewer's veto.

At least Someone in Arizona is showing a little common sense intelligence.....
anyone that questions it to the point of needing to research it lacks the ability to comprehend what they are searching on.
walking ignorant in the United States is an epidemic
Dear Arizona:
You used to be cool. What happened?
Love: America.
The citizenship requirement for the presidency is that the president must be born a US citizen. It is possible to be born outside the US and yet be born a citizen. At any rate, what would we do if this didn't apply to Obama? Not like we can take back the last three years. Let it go already.
Agreed - even if Obama were born outside the US (which, of course, is not the case) he was born ot a US citizen, so he is actually natural-born. In the same sense that McCain is natural-born, even if outside the US borders.
So sad this all is ...but then we have always had the conspiracy-theory lunatic fringe.
I GUESS THERE MUST BE NO OTHER PRESSING ISSUES TO BE DEALT WITH IN THE U.S HOPE THIS IS RESOLVED SOON SO I CAN QUIT WORRYING
Good!!! Now all the racist fear mongers can go find a new dog to kick. Why don't people focus on worthy issues that would help their fellow man?
Oh don't pick on Vern. He can't help that years of inbreeding made him the way he is. Just be glad that most of the sad old racists like him will dead and buried in the next decade.
My wife works At a beer DC. We stole a ton of beer. We sell 6 pack of Miller Lite just $3.
What an international embarassment! Have we nothing else to worry about? Do you not think that Clinton and McCain had Obama investigated? There is not a chance either one of them would have eaten all that crow, if there was even the slightest chance that Obama was not a natural born citizen. If Trump has so much money to waste after filing backruptcy, why doesn't he pay back some of the money he bailed out on, and buy a new wig.
Like!
Arizona has not gone full retard.
Hahahahaha!!!! My thoughts exactly.
Lisa buy me some beer baby doll
I am originally from Arizona and have been embarrassed by things coming from there for the past 10 or 20 years.
This is a big turnaround for the state. Unfortunately, they still have the 40 or so dingbats (looney tunes really) in the legislature that voted for this in the first place.
Who Cares if Obama Was BORN IN USA? He's US citizen, that's all that matters! I'm Muslim & a US Citizen from Canada, maybe I'll Run 4 offices B/I/T/C/H/E/S!

your video does not work???
Wow. She vetoed it? Good.
The President is a US citizen. Enough of this birth certificate nonsense. What some of the posters said above is true; if President Obama were caucasian, it would not be an issue. Let it go, peeps!
