Gotta Watch: Donald Trump

As MSNBC has said, Donald Trump is to politics what Charlie Sheen is to entertainment. You want to watch him just to see what he says next. He keeps questioning President Obama's birthplace, but he gets annoyed when anyone presses him on his "birther" theory. Trump has been a media magnet for years, and now he's dangling the prospect of a potential presidential run. In today's Gotta Watch, we take a look at some of Trump's greatest hits.

'Birther' controversy - Trump says his strengths as a potential candidate like in his stance on "jobs, the economy, and protecting our nation from OPEC, China and all these other countries that are ripping us off." And yet, he complains that, every time he's on TV, he's asked about the theory that President Obama wasn't born in the U.S. Check out this feisty exchange between Trump and CNN's Ali Velshi and Kyran Chetry.

What's in a Trump name? - From "stupid" to "blatherside," so many in the media have their own way to describe Donald Trump. CNN's Jeanne Moos takes a look.

Donald Trump said what?? - Sometimes it seems as though Trump says anything that comes to his mind. And it's not always nice. As he eyes a possible presidential run, CNN.com dug up some of the more zany things the mogul has said over the years.

It is amazing how many ignorant people actually live in this country! Prime examples of why the GOP wants to destroy education.....If everyone was educated, no one would ever vote for a Republican! The original "Grand Old Party" founders would be shocked at what their party has become! And, their views would be considered left of center!

Yes, all they do is watch Fox news and talk to each other! Like a cult! Everyone else is wrong and they are right! Very dangerous way of thinking

I try to look at everyones views objectively. I am not able to do that with these people! How can they think that they are on the right side of anything? Their entire philosophy seems to be centered around a totally absurd set of beliefs!

I've just ordered 2 Big Mac's with cheese, 2 orders of large fries, 2 orders of chicken McNuggets, 2 apple pies, and 2 large diet Coke's. I'm going to eat it all right now. Let it slowly digest and rot in my guts. And then I'm going over to one of The Donald's mansions and leave a huge, steamy, nasty dump at his doorstep.

He'll probably come out, sniff at it like most dogs do and then proceed to eat it.

I think the Birther issue is one of the most ludicrous in American History. Anyone paying lip service to it goes out of my consideration.

Boy the communist news network really doesn't care for Trump. I never saw any of these attack-style pieces on Obama. I wonder if there is any bias there???? Hrmmmm......

I think the Trump brand will suffer tremendously from his recent actions. It is like he had a stroke or something.

Why not run the government like a business? It is true Donald Trump was born into a family involved in real estate investments but whatever financial assistance he got from his father was nothing more than seed money which he invested cleverly and developed his own wealth; most of the contributors to this comments page seem concerned that Trump is very wealthy and very outspoken; isn't that the kind of person we need to restore confidence in the US of A?
Isn't it time for a president who actually has a record of success in something? I think there is a lot of jealousy out there from the unsuccessful losers who either consciously or unconsciously want the country to fail just as they have. Misery loves company, they abhor success and wealth in others.. Donald take a deep breath and go for it!

You realize that a Presidential candidate is vetted before they are able to run for office right? Do you know what vetted means?

He has declared Bankrupcy, and he asked the court if he could keep his name, and the Judge approved. Since then he is just making ends meet, but keeps an up beat front. He is just out to get a pension for his old age, and after George Bush, he says I can not do any worse than George?
I think there are far better candidates than this guy.

All his talk of US spending 1.5 Trillion Dollars on the Wars, all of which has been received gracefully by the Defence establishment/ US Based Corp., and hardly five per cent of this 1.5 Trillion has been spent on the infrastructure projects or actual improvements in Iraq and / or Afghanistan. If not show the actual improvements.

Us Tax payers pay and Defence contractors get richer. Good business to be in ??
