Gotta Watch: Donald Trump

As MSNBC has said, Donald Trump is to politics what Charlie Sheen is to entertainment. You want to watch him just to see what he says next. He keeps questioning President Obama's birthplace, but he gets annoyed when anyone presses him on his "birther" theory. Trump has been a media magnet for years, and now he's dangling the prospect of a potential presidential run. In today's Gotta Watch, we take a look at some of Trump's greatest hits.

'Birther' controversy - Trump says his strengths as a potential candidate like in his stance on "jobs, the economy, and protecting our nation from OPEC, China and all these other countries that are ripping us off." And yet, he complains that, every time he's on TV, he's asked about the theory that President Obama wasn't born in the U.S. Check out this feisty exchange between Trump and CNN's Ali Velshi and Kyran Chetry.

[cnn-video url="http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2011/04/21/am.trump.birther.cnn"%5D

What's in a Trump name? - From "stupid" to "blatherside," so many in the media have their own way to describe Donald Trump. CNN's Jeanne Moos takes a look.

[cnn-video url="http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbeat/2011/04/20/moos.trumpathon.cnn"%5D

Donald Trump said what?? - Sometimes it seems as though Trump says anything that comes to his mind. And it's not always nice. As he eyes a possible presidential run, CNN.com dug up some of the more zany things the mogul has said over the years.

Trump is a classless piece of garbage who doesn't know jack about anything. He inherited his wealth, and now he just acts like some deserved aristocrat.

are you saying if you inherited 1 million dollars, that you could turn it into a billion?

think of the ratio's here.... he's worth multi multi billions,
he's a brilliant financer, exactly what america needs, we need to keep our commerce here at home... our deficit has sunk to levels 3 times higher then the entire 8 years of bush....

he's better then our current situation, not ideal, but better.

I really hope this clown runs and wins the Republican nomination. Not only will it insure a win for Obama, it will provide priceless entertainment watching this buffoon trying to walk on one foot while he has the other one stuck in his mouth while having his head stuck up his ass. That alone is worth the price of admission.

I'm sure you'd rather just see his wealth distributed to the non workers, just like the current leader does.

Mr. Trump like's the spot-light and the media. He is either forgetful or can't remember that anyone running for the seat of the highest of the United States of America are completely checked out. You must be a U.S. Citizen. Bottom Line! How do we know he is a U.S. Citizen? Because a black man has won that office, legally, Trump want 's people to think he is on to something, yes he is, in a way, he has not gotten the picture that he too is lost in all of this media hype that people are tired of the same old things like Birth Certificate when its on file and can be gotten by the Freedom of Information Act. He has completely lost his hair and his mind all together! Trump has children and he should not be in the media as he is putting down the President. Trump image is already smeared and he is smearing it more. He really don't know wht he's taling about and has no interest in being the President of these United States of America. Like everything he touch or get involved with...somehow, he drop it as soon as it get it. His Trump Air Line went belly up and so did a lot of his project; he is not steadfast in nothing...not even real estate. It is just something he have a eye for, other than that, that is it. Trump can't be trusted!

Everyone on here puts the man down. It's interesting because no one has anything of substance to say. "He's a baffon, he's stupid, trump stinks". Great arguments everyone. This man is the only person trying to address all of the issues this country has. If you listen to what he says, most of it makes sense. If you really want to go into it, wouldn't you like to know that your president was born in the united states? It is the law, except the birth certificate isn't required to be shown. That's dumb. All presidential candidates should show their birth certificate before running. Now was President Obama born in the US or somewhere else? I don't know. No one knows, because he hasn't shown his birth certificate. If he shows it the issue goes away...why not just show it?

On another note, I am sure that over 90% of the people that commented on here have never had a million dollars to their name. Therefore probably aren't very successful business men and women. Even smart people can't be right everytime. Even smart business people of Trump's calibre make some bad deals, or some mistakes. Its normal, its HUMAN. But I bet you he's made a ton more good deals that bad ones, which is why he owns so much property, has a a very successful tv show. CNN reporters there sound like children. Come on! Ask him some real questions. We already know the answer to the birther issue. He will tell people what he has found when he is ready. So as a reporter you should probably ask other questions, you know important questions about his policies, how he plans on helping the United States not get suckered by countries like China...or how he can help with getting Gas prices to go down... Professional reporting at its finest in the first video.

One word for Trump the Schlump: Jerk. And the same applies to fools who follow him. Started with Daddy's money and proceeded to multiple bankruptcy filings. He does not negotiate, he bullies, out-shouts, washes over good questions, fabricates answers. He's a liar.

I am a Canadian. As an outsider looking in, anyone voting for the self promoting Donald Trump should seriously listen to what this guy is saying!! At the onset, I thought he was a joke but now that some are thinking of voting for him, it's certainly a concern!!! His type is very apparent to the rest of the world. He is a total inadept idiot!! Just because he can say, "You're Fired" don't make him a smart man!!!
Best of luck to all and may God inspire you at the voting polls!

Some of the best leaders come from the people you would least expect. Right now I think Americans are just fed up with Washington and the people we hire. Frankly, they should be focused on getting the job done. Putting objectives together and sharing those results with all of us. Maybe this is stupid but maybe we need to put a scorecard together that show exactly how the president is doing ! The key of course ( which will never happen ) is not to have those guys spin the truth.

So is Donald self promoting...sure. Is he really asking what a lot of Americans would like to know ... sure. So it really comes back to our President to put this issue to bed.

I'm just amazed how everyone is attacking Trump and the lack of professionalism from CNN and others. Regardless if you believe he is a viable candidate or not, I would think that are newscasters wouldn't talk to him about something so ridiculous as birth certificates but ask him about his beliefs in foreign policy, how to get more jobs in the US, medical costs / insurance, oil issues, and the situation we have with education. I frankly would like to have our President put this debate to bed once and for all so we can move on. The fact that our President doesn't address it opens him to be questioned....but we also have a guy that plays the blame game every chance he has. How many of us would last at work if every time we opened our mouth we blamed someone else.

We have some serious issues to deal with in our country and we need qualified people to address them. We need someone who can pull a TEAM together and work through the situations. We need a leader who can get us back on-track.
