Gotta Watch: Tornado rips through St. Louis

Many residents of St. Louis are glad to be safe after a category EF4 tornado ripped through the area over the weekend. These are just a few videos of the destruction.

Tornado slams airport – Upon first glance, this silent surveillance video of Lambert Airport in St. Louis looks as if there's an invisible vacuum inhaling debris.

Safety underground – When weather forecasters say to head to the basement of your house during a storm, this is why. Here, our Dan Simon walks into what appears to be a hole in the ground that turns out to be the nearly untouched basement of a home that's been flattened by the storm.

Nothing left – Here, we meet the people affected by the storm and what used to be their homes. Dan Simon finds an SUV that's been impaled by a wooden board.

    I think that the headlines is in poor taste... As an ex editor. That would be a headline no no... Not even a bi line would make it.. I will say, the story as written is not in bad taste.. It is informative and allows us, the reader to see what is happening and get a visual of those events. Thank you for that CNN... However, no on the subject of poor taste.. Tom,. before you speek, take a note from the professionals.. get proof. Where is your proof that sin is causing all these disasters? Do you have it in good the a devine force that only shares information with you? Seriously, I doubt not.

    Tom, try to have a nice day. Schizophrania and paranoia are currable.. will send my best wishes to you on recieving the mental health you obviously need...

    I live in Brentwood about 5 miles southeast of the St. Louis Int'l Airport, and it's crazy that it didn't even rain here. I did get some great shots of the funnel cloud and the green sky.
