Gotta Watch: Born in the USA

After years of speculation and several major media outlets debunking claims, President Obama moved to put rumors about his birth certificate to bed by releasing the long-form document. While this may quiet some of the noise from some so-called "birther" conspiracy theorists, it may not be enough for others. In today's gotta watch we take a look at some of the most vocal "birthers" and their years-long quest to see Obama's birth certificate. And if you're still not sure what all the stink is all about, we've got a cheat sheet here.

The born conspiracy? – "Birther" movement leader Orly Taitz has been very vocal about her doubts concerning the president's birth place. She even took the issue to a California court. She said her goal was to find out if Obama was U.S. citizen and to hold a special presidential election if he wasn't.

"Birther" solider refuses deployment – One soldier adamantly refused his deployment orders, saying Barack Obama wasn't born in America and therefore ineligible to be president and give military orders. The soldier claimed there was "significant evidence" Obama wasn't born in Hawaii.

"Birther" outburst – Here, a "birther" only dubbed as "The Interrupter" cries out during the congressional reading of the constitution, earning her a place on the Ridiculist.

What's the next issue for "birthers"? – You guessed it, President Obama's grades. Anderson Cooper digs in with info about the president's education, but we're guessing the next documents to be unearthed will be his report cards.

To the people trying to bring up JFK, the parallel isn't quite there, since Kennedy wasn't hounded for years to show his birth certificate. Some people were indeed concerned about whether he would be following Catholic dogma over American law, but that was put to rest fairly early in his presidency rather than having people like Donald Trump or Sarah Palin making political hay of it.

Why did it take two years for him to show his birth certificate? Let's have that ink tested to see how old it is.

I'm no liberal, but the way Obama let these morons think they they where pulling on a thread that would unravel his presidency is comedy. By allowing these whack-job, racists speak for the GOP it's basically colored all of them. Even the ones who tried their best not to be associated. Now they have less than a year to stand on a platform of cutting nutritional programs for the poor. The birthers were a dream come true to the dems.

Not a fan of the President and his policies and hope he is voted out after the next election. However, I never had an issue with the "birther" question. My son was born in Hawaii and we have a Certificate of Live Birth and that does the trick for him. I have never seen this long form before. The president could have fixed this issue long ago but was too prideful to get it addressed. Now it is done and we can go back to his horrible policies and his breakneck spending, which far exceeds what GWB did.

I have to say how amazing i find the whole "birther" issue to be. I love that in a time of complete economic crisis the biggest issue these people want to address is where someone was born. In all honesty, i could care less about where Obama was born, as long as he is trying to do the job i helped put him in as best he can. I just can't wait to find out what the next ridiculous issue these people want to fight over will be. All i can do is pity them; and laugh and laugh and laugh.

I'll be willing to bet that when the birth certificate was typed out, it was typed out on a "Royal" typewriter. How many of you know what that is?

Despite President Obama's small victory, it wasn't all great news this month because one of the inventors of the teleprompter (Hubert "Hub" Schlafly) died last week. It was a bitter sweet month for the President.

You can disagree with the President, even question his birth place and not be racist. There were questions about John McCain who was born on a base in Panama. The ones crying racism are the ones who are racist!

Ya know....let's give the Birther's some credit..... their forebearers knew that Obama's mother had a plan fifty years ago to make him president so she bribed the people at the hospital to create a fake certificate while she delivered her son in Indonesia.....or Texas (I can't remember). This diabolical plan to allow foreign takeover WOULD have succeeded were it not for the diligent research of the Birthers!!!

To all of you Birthers you may save our nation from being run for a 2nd term by an Ivy league educated college professor who is leading us through our worst economic period since the Great Depression.

    Thank you??
