Gotta Watch: Born in the USA

After years of speculation and several major media outlets debunking claims, President Obama moved to put rumors about his birth certificate to bed by releasing the long-form document. While this may quiet some of the noise from some so-called "birther" conspiracy theorists, it may not be enough for others. In today's gotta watch we take a look at some of the most vocal "birthers" and their years-long quest to see Obama's birth certificate. And if you're still not sure what all the stink is all about, we've got a cheat sheet here.

The born conspiracy? – "Birther" movement leader Orly Taitz has been very vocal about her doubts concerning the president's birth place. She even took the issue to a California court. She said her goal was to find out if Obama was U.S. citizen and to hold a special presidential election if he wasn't.

"Birther" solider refuses deployment – One soldier adamantly refused his deployment orders, saying Barack Obama wasn't born in America and therefore ineligible to be president and give military orders. The soldier claimed there was "significant evidence" Obama wasn't born in Hawaii.

"Birther" outburst – Here, a "birther" only dubbed as "The Interrupter" cries out during the congressional reading of the constitution, earning her a place on the Ridiculist.

What's the next issue for "birthers"? – You guessed it, President Obama's grades. Anderson Cooper digs in with info about the president's education, but we're guessing the next documents to be unearthed will be his report cards.

I'm pleased that you Birthers humiliated yourselves for so long, and today the facts confirmed what most people long suspected: you're all idiots!

    You got played!

Who do you trust – your Republican representatives who are trying to abolish your social security in order to have more of your money to give to the rich? Get a clue.

It is good that the president released his birth certificate. It will go a long way to a educate Mr. Trump and the other birthers that Hawaii is a state, and in fact was a state in 1961.

I think this is the most ridiculous thing ever. Don't think for one second, they don't know when he was born, where he traveled in his life, how often he goes to the bathroom, what he likes to eat, how often he has taken his kids to school, etc, etc, etc, etc.......if he was born on the moon or mars, it wouldn't have mattered, his mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth, period. He's black, his name is Barack "Hussein" Obama, and we have this fear of muslims and Islam. There is nothing, but people want to make it something. He's educated just like the rest of the presidents before him, but that gives him something up on many of those before him, he's self made. He didn't get into the schools that he got into because his parent's are rich, or he inherited the right because his daddy went before him. I hope this finally puts the non-sense to rest. And if this man has come this far, and none of the other senators, congress people, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security haven't been able to figure he was a fraud, we are in a lot worst shape than we know.

Trump show us your financial records and the proof that Chester on your head was born in the USA. I thought Sarah had shot him on her reality show. The whole world is laughing at us and does Trump really think that we will die if he his show went off the air. Wow, he gives himself toooo much credit.

Not good enough. Not even close. We need to see a video of Obama's birth that shows without a doubt that he was born in a Hawaiian hospital. Are we to believe that a woman who was so certain that her interracial son born to a Muslim father in the 1960s was going to be President would not have filmed his birth? Where is this video? Why is Obama hiding it from us? Would it actually show he was born in Kenya? Hmmmm....

I am sad Obama lowered himself to the level of these idiots. After all, all sort of preposterous accusations have been made: he wasn't born here, he's Muslim, he's the Antichrist, he's an alien... What, now he's going to have to provide a DNA test to prove he's not an alien?
Truly these birthers have no sense of dignity or self respect. I am glad that pompous ass Trump had to eat crow, though.

You know, Obama is trying to build the support needed to pass a balanced budget. While this has been happening, the news has been devoted to idiots crying for his birth certificate. To put it simply, Obama wants America to focus on issues that are actually meaningful.

PLEASE!! To question AYTHING about this President, has NOTHING to do with race!! Many of you who throw that out there are an absolute disgrace to everything gained today, since the Civil Rights movement!! What Donald Trump advocated and got, is what CNN, NY Times, MSNBC, etc, SHOULD HAVE ALREADY DONE!! If the Media would simply do their job and be OBJECTIVE, perhaps we could get to the bottom of these issues and move on!!

I assume when you ask the media to be OBJECTIVE, that you don't mean Fox. The fact that they made up "facts" like Obama spending 200 billion dollars and employing a third of the U.S. Navy for security for his trip to India confims their objectivity.

  11. FYI

People who have a problem with the race of President Obama will never be convinced, they will always have something else that needs to be proven. A person of common sense knows he wouldn't have been able to even enter the race if he wasn't a US born citizen. The Donald Trumps of the world travel the world looking for places to create unrest and mistrust. He needs to use some of his money for a complete mental evaluation.I think his lunchmeat slipped off the bread!

" Thank heaven we have Donald Trump to ask the important question".

Has this nation finally turned into a nation of idiots, making us the laughing stock of the world?
About time we gather our wits together & move on to really important issues.
We are up to our necks in debt, wars are draining us of precious funds which we no longer have & lives. And yet we are itching for more, economy, health, education, infrastructure, states and cities going bankrupt, pink slips even for firefighters & police, Medicare & Social Security now target of defunding.
Our influence, prestige & clout waning globally. So called 'allies' of ours pushing us further into woes, their lobbies relentlessly whipping us around.
And we get up with this 'birther' issue and go to bed with it.

I support Obama and I wished he would not have produced the birth certificate. The longer the republicans focused on that racist issue the better. For those who say they are not racist "If you walk like a duck, quack like a duck, then you MUST be a racist duck"...
