Military expert: Pakistan must have known where Osama bin Laden was hiding

While U.S. officials are questioning whether Pakistan knew Osama bin Laden was hiding in the country, so are Pakistanis.

Ayesha Siddiqa is an independent analyst and the author of "Military Inc: Inside Pakistan's Military." She has made it her career to understand Pakistan’s military - how it thinks and how it acts.

Based on those years of knowledge, she is convinced the military knew bin Laden was there. That he was hiding near Pakistan's military academy in Abbottabad is the strongest clue, she says.

In a society where the military and intelligence agencies keep tabs on its citizens, Pakistan would not allow anyone living so close to its elite military academy to go unexamined, she says.

But the government’s insistence that it did not know bin Laden was hiding in its midst has shaken its people, she says. There is a sense of vulnerability that is hard to shake - a sense of vulnerability both from outsiders like the U.S. and from within.

Yep, these are people that are just playing dumb – and playing the U.S. for suckers.

As long as we'll keep forking over the billions in aid, they'll placate us by pretending to be our allies and handing over an operative every now and then – and then just snickering behind our backs. -They're just in it for the dough.

*OF COURSE* they knew the guy was there.

If the U.S. Government trusts any middle-eastern country that makes them the FOOLS that everyone already knows they are. Hear these words, "YOU CAN'T TRUST ANY COUNTRY FROM THE MIDDLE-EAST". They are nothing but a bunch of "LYING-GREEDY-ILL MANNERED-MUSLIM" pieces of untrustworthy garbage.

U.S. forces have a helicopter go down on the raid due to a mechanical problem and fell later destroyed it. When it went they would have taken what they needed from it set explosives to destroy it. if the helicopter was so important to security with classified properties. There would be no parts left to look at. its old teck that does not work you hipe it up with the us can't trust Pakistani security official? this raid was set to convince other country's this teck is so new and great. the Pakistani will sell it to the highest biders and after years of reverse engineering and billions of dollars in expense all of a sudden it won't work and it never will.

Of course the Pakistanis never knew about this. The C.I.A. has been planning this incident for years and simply couldn't afford to let the Pakistanis in on it for fear it may leak out. There's something bogus about the whole thing!!!

the best way to ambush and kill someone is to allow them to believe that they are safe. A strategy such as that, would require some complex assurances to the person being hunted. Pakistan sold out Osama years ago by providing him all the assurances he demanded, then allowing the final sting operation that got him. To save face, of course, like any double agent, they must disavow all knowledge, yes? no?
