Flood area officials should contact Australians who were in the flood at Kerang. Rats, mice and other vermin went to any high ground. Homes were inundated with rats – destroying everything. Territorial rats ruined carpeting and furniture in homes that were not flooded. That is ot even considering all food items including freezers and refrigerators were full of rats and mice when access was restored to roads and residents returned. Now, because of the huge rat population, snakes have found lucrative feeding grounds in homes not yet cleaned up. The snake population has escalated dramatically. These people will have months of clean up and restoration while the rest of us have moved on to the next conflagration.

@drap: I've seen a picture of Arnold. They would have to use a stunt double, if that's the snake you're referring to.

How hard is it to learn to use one of those snake–sticks?–with the metal "U" on the end?
A shotgun would be around me if I had a flood spiked with venomous snakes in my yard.
I've killed snakes with a hoe. That wouldn't work in water.

Interesting, two fake Joeys side by side. As for the snakes, shove the handle part of a broomstick down their throat-this will KILL them; kind of like slaying a freaking TROLL.
