Senate rejects budget measure containing Medicare overhaul
In what amounted to political theater rather than legislative action, the Senate rejected Wednesday a House budget plan that included a controversial provision to overhaul Medicare.
The measure was expected to fail due to overwhelming opposition by majority Democrats, as well as wavering support for the Medicare overhaul among Republicans who recognize the provision's unpopularity with senior citizens enrolled in the government-run health insurance program.
The final vote on the proposal originated by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, was 40-57, mostly along party lines. Republicans who joined the majority Democrats in opposing the measure were Scott Brown of Massachusetts, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine.

Do people realize when they talk about `the rich` they are talking about politicians too. and ask yourself why would a person who is rich insist on tax increases for the rich? Because they get out of paying taxes somehow??? would you want to increase your own taxes....use your heads!! We who pay taxes pay for almost everything a politician has food shelter clothing education for their children vacation of course they want to increase taxes!!

Here we go again,reading all these stupid,meaninglessTea Party comments. I still to know while blocking some of my posts,CNN lets these people display idiotic comments like these.
It appears to me RUFFNUTT by the use of some of this profanity,that either Sarah Palin,Michele Bachmann,Scott Brown or some other high Tea Party official may have strongly influenced CNN to let these peoples' posts be displayed here. Some of my posts get blocked,too and I use no profanity as the Tea Partiers do!!!
