Official: Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 9/11 conspirators to be re-charged for tribunal

The Pentagon will announce Tuesday that charges against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other alleged co-conspirators in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks are being refiled to allow prosecution before a military tribunal at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, naval base, a defense official confirmed.

The move comes after the Obama administration dropped plans to prosecute the suspects in federal court in New York.

Besides Mohammed, the other suspects to face charges of participating in the 9/11 plot are Walid bin Attash, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi. All five are at Guantanamo.

Yhea I'm not sure how this recharges conspiracy..
Maybe this September people will be ok with actually asking thinking about it now being that its ten years.
A lot of conspiracy people believe those terrorists bin laden , sheek ect were involved. Just that there might be other parts to IT unknown here. I'm not one who's sure bush was involved, I think he was used. Idk. ha it might not even be a coincidence that he was reading " my pet goat..

Remember what the Obama administration criticized the Bush administration for? Yeah, it was the tribunals instead of trials. Oh how the tide has turned. For those who don't understand the difference, a tribunal is stating that the defendant is a military criminal instead of a civilian criminal. I guess Obama just figured out that terrorists are military criminals.

I love how Obama kept his promise to close Guantanamo and put these guys on trial in civilian courts. It was a stupid idea to begin with.

They are being charged because they committed a heinos crime.

Bush however, even if you do not agree with the decision, did not commit a crime. He authorized a military action, approved by congress. "Troll" though your law books and find how it qualifies as a crime, then show the rest of us. Otherwise, don't waste my time.

Isn't it illiegal with the UN? They voted not to attack, and he went ahead anyway. Not to mention he had no just cause. Nobody found those WMD's. It's illegal to lie to congress but not illegal for them to lie to you? Sounds like Bush is a war criminal to me, and probably anyone not blinded by propaganda.

willy says "Isn't it illegal with the UN?" Yet another moron heard from.
I'm far from an Obaman supporter, but I give him credit for realizing all the pie in the sky foolishness he duped people with to get elected was just that, foolishness.

willy – First of all, I live in the US, not the UN and they do not dictate what our military can and cannot be used for. Second, they authorized the use of force in dealing with both Afghanistan and Iraq. Now please spend less time posting and more time reading something other than people's posts.

Bush should be tried with treason for insider knowledge as should those around him at the time he lied when interviewed 3 months after the attack with a 95% inaccurate recount of what he was doing and the events that led to 9/11.Jet fuel isnt hot enough to do what N.I.S.T. reports states, also the building had reenforced beams for support in just such cases.Police and bomb squads had been alerted to the buildings that fell up to 3 weeks prior as citizens spotted demolitions equipment.A certain news station had installed a new camera on the roof 6 hours proir to attack specifically aimed to watch a tower(video can be found). Also the government had called all airports and told them not to report planes going off course as "Drills" were being run.

You're funny Red star. You and Rosie who think jet fuel can't melt and never in the history has it melted steel. Check out several bridges that have melted (yes, reinforced steel, concrete surround) when a tanker truck of gasoline burned while sitting under the over pass. Aviation fuel (JP8) for example and gasoline both burn at around 1000 degrees F. So if one can melt steel, why can't the other? Oh wait, that's right, facts really don't matter in a good conspiracy. Sorry for interrupting your psychosis.

    • LOL DON

@ Don. Judging by your response to "red star's" comment, I take it you just watch that 55 inch box in your living room and listen to whatever noise comes out of it without questioning any of the information against other sources. Don't worry though, you fit in with the rest of the masses very well. Most people have the same method of coming to a conclusion. So you are not alone.

@ Red Star. Most of your comments are pretty accurate except that trying Bush for his crimes, won't do a thing. The criminal organization that he is involved with can just replace him at will with another agent. See Rothschild Zionists. Very large organization (criminal), controls banks (money), media (use of propaganda is very powerful, especially to idiots like DON), etc. I don't bother attempting to enlighten the masses any more, they're incapable of being open minded.

Red Star: Don't mind these people. They obviously haven't watched ANYTHING about why people believe 9/11 was an inside job, probably for fear that the theories are correct... It's alright though in 20 years when the truth comes out and they are burying their heads in their hands we'll be able to say "I told you so" In the meantime let them mock the truth it will bite them in the keasters....
