Unborn child has Facebook profile

Unborn baby Marriah Greene has a lot to say, at least according to her Facebook profile.

The child attends Tummy University, enjoys soccer and swimming and talks in first person. And her friends talk back to her– in baby-speak, naturally.

Of course, it’s really her mother, Ellie Greene of Whitehouse, Texas, updating the page, but the fetus already has more than 260 friends.

When Ellie and her husband, Matt, decided it was time to announce their pregnancy, they wanted a quick, inclusive method, and what’s faster than Facebook to spread exciting news?

“Within a day she had over 100 friends,” Ellie said, according to affiliate KLTV.

Friends quickly responded to updates about Marriah. They give advice, make jokes and compliment her beauty in the ultrasound photos.

“We wanted to keep the page going, so she could go back and look at it,” Ellie said, giving her daughter the opportunity to see how many people adored her before she was even born.

The parents plan to continue updating the page, with her birth story coming soon. After all, “The word in the belly is there's a lot more to see.”

    @ Uncle Sam:
The best things in life are free.
Getting pregnant doesn't mean you have to have a baby.
A baby is not a product on which to build a business to support a woman.

Awww someones bitter. Maybe if you're good you'll reincarnate with your own ovaries someday. For now you'll just have to be ok wearing your moms dress.

@Joey...do you find it odd that the same people who view illegal Mexicans as potential Americans view unborn babies as slabs of meat? And the people who view illegal Mexicans as lawbreakers view unborn babies as precious? No...I doubt your mind has the capacity. never mind.

What is is CNN? A fetus, a baby, or a child? Hard to say isn't it? The parents define it as a child. A really sick-in-the-head legal system would describe it as not much more than a growth, a wart inside the mother. You should have just stuck with fetus. Hm...but then there is the whole problem of the 3D ultrasound isn't there....the one at the top of your page that shows a baby? Hard to doublespeak that.

Can't CNN say "baby"? Do you have to avoid the obvious? Look at the picture. This "unborn child" is a baby.

These are some sick people! I just cannot fathom behavior like this. Facebook???? The daughter is NOT going to be happy about this if Facebook is still around when she is old enough to realize how her parents used and abused her in order to gain attention for themselves. Guarantee you they come up with some sort of product to sell from this. And by the way....THEY are not pregnant....SHE is pregnant.

      Sperm > 23 Chromosomes + ovum > 23 Chromosomes = 46 Chromosomes
Moment of fertilization 46 Chromosomes divide by 2 = 23 Chromosomes = baby
I'd say that baby is equally father's and mother's – so would science. If you don't know the biological facts it's always better to keep quiet.....yeah????

Oh, this is just so exciting and if you hadn't clarified that it was actually the mother updating the page, I was all set to believe in miracles. I most especially like how the image has been manipulated in photoshop. Trying for some type of hysterical response from folks who might flock to your home and shower you with gifts and money?

You'd do better to put down your cigarette and try to focus on reality.

Indeed, Mariah has a name and is a baby not a fetus. CNN doesn't get it.

Well, MAXINE, then if "THEY'RE" not pregnant, then he doesn't have a child, right? I laugh ad nauseum at feminists. They dream all day about having a set of balls.
