Gotta Watch: Tiananmen Square protests

It was a day in China's history that will never be forgotten.  June 4, 1989, Chinese troops opened fire on students and protesters in Tiananmen Square.  The protests began in April following the death of former Communist Party General Secretary Hu Yaobang. Only a handful of people originally showed up to the square in his memory, but as weeks passed hundreds of thousands of people joined the demonstration, which became a mass movement for political reform.  The protests remained peaceful until troops opened fire June 4th. The government reported 241 people were killed and 7,000 were wounded. In today's Gotta Watch we remember the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.

China's perfect storm - In 1989 the world watched mainly students and intellectuals protest in Tiananmen Square. CNN's Kristi Lu Stout details the most influential moments of the protests and the mystery that still surrounds the "tank man."

Dodging bullets for "tank man" - CNN photojournalist Jonathan Schaer opens up about how he feared for his life while capturing video of the "tank man" on June 5, 1989.

On the ground in Tiananmen Square - A CNN reporter stands inTiananmen Square as hundreds of thousands of people join the protest against Communist rule.

@ casey troll: how many years of phychology did it take you to figure out that a man who's grandaughter was murdered, sitting at the trial of his only daughter for that murder, accused by that daughter of s*x abuse and helping dispose of his grandaughters body, who's life has become a media circus lowering his head is a sign of total dispair? You must be an awesome psychologist.

    Hello, toocy.
I always find conversations with psychologists and psychiatrists fascinating. I've known some distinguished ones as friends...some who did pioneering work in the development of this field, some who contributed to the diagnostic manual.
From the guilt-oriented aura of Anthony's Case Posts's offerings, I'm expecting to hear that there was some "spiritual" influence of Jung in the Ph.D. studies.
What a wonderful calling for one's career!

OK, so if the child innocently drowned herself in the pool then why did Casey Anthony lie about it to the investigators when she was CLEARLY marked as a prime suspect? Why not just call an ambulance?
THEN she got caught in the lie because the person she said was baby sitting her daughter( probably got the name in a phone book) never met her in her life. She got caught in the lie when she led the investigators to an apartment that WASN’T EVEN VACANT.No Where near where this babysitter really lived.
After she got caught she sat in jail and came up with this even better story that is harder to be diss-proven.How did the duct tape get on her daughter again? How did the duct tape get on her daughters mouth again?
OK OK so lets just ASSUME the little girl drowned in the pool………….Why would she cover up for her father after the defense clearly said her father said to her “I’m gonna make sure you go to prison for the rest of your life for this”Then she left and went partying

Casey Anthony is just NUTS and a pathological lair. She was living a lie for years even before this whole thing happened. The “babysitter” was a 2 yr lie that she fed to her dad and tried to feed to the investigators that ended up at an empty apartment. She should be tried for lying to the police on 2 accounts on top of everything..

Even if all this b.s was true why wouldn’t Casey just tell the police in the first place “Casey drowned in the pool, my dad said he was going to frame me and then I went partying” They would just call her a horrible mother and go with the lead she gave them.THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN She lied, got caught and came up with this story.Someone facing murder will say ANYTHING to try to get out of it.I’m surprised she didn’t say Caylee’s great grampa killed her.. Did I mention the searches of how to make chloroform and how to break a neck on her computer the smell of a corpse in her trunk? lol

Quite frankly. I have seen enough. She is as guilty as sin and that child obviously did not die because of an accidental drowning in the grandfather’s swimming pool. That man was a professional law enforcement officer and would have done the right thing, especially if it was an accident. The defense is building up for a temporary insanity defence, and I am surprised her parents don’t strangle her for what is being alleged. This case has all the makings of the Simpson trial, except Casey Anthony is not rich and her defense team is getting all kinds of publicity

    Pity.
    No response about Albert Ellis?
    None about Aaron Beck?
It sounds more like the ersatz Ellis.

The Prosecution laid it all out, day by day. They are telling the truth about her. Baez and his team of morons, being paid by the taxpayers of FL, I might add, can only come up with an out and out lie to defend her. Birds of a feather flock together, lies. lies, and more lies.
Baez is no better than his client, in my opinion. Hopefully the jurors will be able to dig themselves out of the crap that the Defense team is burying them in and see the truth, that this calculating, manipulative, evil mother murdered her child for her own selfish purposes, and believed her own damn lies and thought she could get away with it. RIP Caylee, the truth will prevail, your truth, your story

I actually heard some news commentaries say they thought Biaz did a good job, they must not have listened to what he said. If this was an accident no one would have went to jail. Does her attorney really want us to believe the Police wanted this to be a murder so they covered up the drowning, George blamed this “accidental drowning” on Casey so she would have to go to jail, the meter reader must have been lurking around their house 24-7 knowing Caylee was going to die, he could follow George into the woods, dig up the body, save it just to put it back later inorder claim a reward, which everyone in Central Fl know it was if the child was found alive, even the meter reader. How did her little bones get scattered all over the wooded area unless it had been there quite awhile, they were scattered by animals, My God they had to sift through the debree for days to find as much of the remains as possible. Why didn’t Casey go to the police and tell them of here fathers cover up, then he would have went to jail and out of her life. The wooded area was under water for quite a while after the child was put there, you see we had a tropical depresson that soaked the gound and it stayed underwater for a long time. How did vines start to wrap around the remains, it had to be there for awhile for that to happen. Oh and where the hell did the meter reader hid the body? Goodness the police, the meter reader, george anthony, equa-search, seems everyone was involved in this consiracy to send Casey to prison. If the jury buys into this I will loose all faith in the justice
