2 people die as bear flies through SUV

A bizarre auto accident involving two vehicles and a bear has left two people and the bear dead, Canadian authorities said.

Police in Quebec said a 300-pound male black bear wandered onto a road and was struck by an eastbound Pontiac Sunfire. The impact sent the animal hurtling through the air, where it smashed the windshield of a westbound Nissan Pathfinder sport utility vehicle and went out through the back window, regional police spokesman Officer Martin Fournel said.

"It was a 300-pound bullet," he said.

The SUV's 35-year-old female driver and a 40-year-old man sitting behind her were killed; a 28-year-old front-seat passenger suffered minor injuries, Fournel said. In the Pontiac, neither the driver, a 23-year-old man, nor his 19-year-old male passenger was hurt.

No alcohol or drugs were involved, and police are still trying to determine each vehicle's speed in the 90 kph (56 mph) zone, Fournel said, adding that charges are unlikely.

"It's a first, there's no doubt about that," he said. "We had similar accident several years ago with a deer going through the windshield and ending up in the back seat, where it injured a boy. He wasn't killed, he was hurt. But it was not like this."

It's bear mating season, and many male bears are out looking - sometimes recklessly - for females, so drivers on rural roads should be watchful, hunting guide Daniel Larocque told the Canadian television network CBC.

The accident occurred near the town of Luskville, about 25 miles northwest of Ottawa, Ontario.

THis is NOT a FUNNY Story. What if it was one of your relatives? It has happened in national parks all over the USA. and now in just on a road in Canada. Whether bears are it by cars or a bear mauling a tourist. Its just a sad event and hear goes out to members of the injured and deceased.

Bear's wife bear, when notified of this tragic attack by a Pontiac Sunfire, said "it's those white people driving too fast, eh?". She then went back to eating flies and bugs...

Why do they drive so fast? Where do they rush off to? Does speeding cost lives... Drive slowly – drive safe.

Why would a bear use the term "white people"? I mean what is that? Yeah really, who are you people? I have a feeling, it's the new majority (ex-minorities) at play here!

What a way to die. Life offers so many strange happenings and it boils down to
people being at the wrong place at the wrong time. A freak occurrance and it could happen to
    any of us.

I should make it clear that I'm saying the whole 300-pound male black bear thing ain't gonna happen here by Venice beach! Now maybe a shark attack while riding my bike might make an interesting story!

I guess you can believe whatever you want to make up. The facts are that the banks were deregulated in 1991 under the leadership of Bill Clinton. That deregulation is what hurt us so bad later on.

No, the greedy unscrupulous actions of politicians, corporations, investors and banks that occurred in the years following deregulation are what have hurt the US so badly. The deregulation was done in good faith to help American families buy homes. Bill Clinton did not artificially inflate housing prices so that the majority of Americans could not afford to buy, real-estate investors did that. Bill Clinton did not tell lenders to develop the sub-prime industry (instead of doing the right thing and keeping housing prices sustainable to median income) that swindled so many innocent people who dared to believe their home ownership dreams could become reality. Bill Clinton didn't have a hand in creating ARMs, no-qualify loans, those horrible packaged securities or the fake high ratings. Bush didn't either, but during his presidency he was warned about the trouble brewing and chose to do nothing about it. Obama provided a patch up and is continuing to negotiate a plan for resolution, however he and his administration are being obstructed at every turn by those who benefited greatly from the devastation they wrought.
Ugh...we are supposed to be commenting on the bear getting hit and flying through a car in Canada. My condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in this bizarre tragedy and hopefully the survivors experience a speedy recovery.

Timeline screws up your argument(or delusion) as Clinton wasn't inaugurated until later. When you repeat talking points incorrectly you don't help yourself or the originators. Knowledge of history obviously isn't your strong point.
