Fire rages at Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico

A fast-growing wildfire in southeast New Mexico prompted the evacuation Tuesday of White City, a small community on the outskirts of the Carlsbad Caverns National Park, a fire official said Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze, which has so far spread to some 16,000 acres, is 10% contained, said Jennifer Myslivy, a spokeswoman for the incident management team in charge of the firefighting effort.

"It's very active," she said. "The wind is going to push it and keep (it) growing."

Myslivy estimated that about 300 people, including tourists and visitors to the park, were affected by the White City evacuation order.

    A forensic expert says heart-shaped stickers were found in Casey Anthony's bedroom but didn't testify whether the items were linked to similar outlines on duct tape on the body of the Florida woman's slain 2-year-old daughter.

    Even so, the stickers shown to jurors at the 25-year-old's murder trial Tuesday over the objection of defense lawyers were powerful images just before the prosecution wraps up its case.

    Crime scene investigator Alina Burroughs told jurors the stickers were found in a box and a scrapbook, along with a letter addressed to Caylee Anthony.

    Another investigator previously testified she noticed the outline of a heart on one of three pieces of duct tape while examining it under ultra-violet lighting. There were no pictures taken of what she saw, though.

    There's not much to burn at Carlsbad. Its all desert. If memory serves me right. Maybe some bats or roadrunners.
