Citing an unspecified legal issue, Chief Judge Belvin Perry has ordered the Casey Anthony murder trial into recess until Monday. Perry's announcement follows nearly an hour of discussions in court and in his chambers among the judge and attorneys.

What a mockery of our Judicial System! What a waste of Taxpayers money! What a loss of peoples lives as they have to sit sequestered for another 48 hrs! Why is Baez not being charged with "content of court?" Did Judge Perry have wk-end plans? What a joke! I WILL NOT waste another minute of my time watching this circus until the GUILTY verdict is read and Casey Anthony gets sentenced to DEATH!

With Cindy and Lee Anthony's testimony conflicting with testimony of record from both earlier in this case and at trial, you may have to wait for a cold day in H**** to hear "sentenced to DEATH."

There's a rumor about that the family was overheard outside the courtroom discussing their testimony strategy. Anyone heard this? I have always questioned witnesses being allowed in the courtroom except to testify. If the rumor has legs.... a mistrial is necessary.

There is obviously a legal issue and it doesn't concern Dr. Furton's testimony. Maybe there is proof Cindy lied on the witness stand about being at work. Ashton received the phone call about Dr. Rodriguez because whoever saw the guy on TV knew where he would be on Saturday afternoon. He would be giving his deposition to Ashton. Ashton did inform the court and defense about the phone call immediately and the defense said they decided not to cost the man to lose his job. Ashton wasn't told whether the defense would still call Rodriguez or not so he asked for time to go over the depostion before having him on the witness stand.

Baez was all set to say the child taped herself up and got into those trash bags and walked the few blocks to the dump
site. His smoke and mirrors claims are designed to get a mistrial.

What a joke! Isn't a person innocent until PROVEN GUILTY?
Where's the proof? This is all supposition, not even good speculation.
Declare the MISTRIAL NOW and stop wasting time.
Next time, don't appoint a judge who can't wait to get to his pork chop every evening.

Could it have something to do with what Lee overheard between Cindy and George?

Well, they did the correct thing about ending the weekend debates. That was so illegal.

Would anyone seriously buy the pool drowning story? That was almost as bad as when I heard on the news that OJ's lawyers were going to enact the race card. Look how that worked out for them... O wait. Juries are fukken stupid. Weren't they looking for this girl's body years ago when I lived in Orlando? She drown? In the pool? Sure is a long search for a body in an above-ground pool. I guess her defense can blame it on some kind of mother BS mental syndrome.

I think Baez should step down. He is in so much trouble. He will get Casey another trial because of his court room circus. I believe Casey is guilty. But she is not getting the right legal repusintation. That is something Casey will use. I hope Baez geta the boot. He should be right beside Casey in jail.

I was watching this on line and the reporter in the court room tweeted that Mason could be heard yelling while the whole lot of them were outside the court. Casey returned once to the court room, was crying, went back out and came back in. It took about an hour for all this. I would have to guess that it whatever it was, was not good for the defense.

    @ Daniel:
You don't know what Caylee might have grown up to do.
The odds were against her, but you can't tell somebody what he cannot do.
I came from a terrible, poor, and violent family, and I overcam
    e it.
    Maybe Caylee was a survivor.
She didn't get a chance to overcome her mother and grandparents: they killed her.
    Caylee deserves justice.

Can anyone tell me why George and Cindy Anthony are allowed to stay in the courtroom the whole time even though they are witnesses?

the judge allowed it because they are also victims. Not allowed to show any emotion during trial. I disagree with it too, as they can merry up their testimony together with no chance of contradicting each other.

Look, none of us know what happened and why court was adjourned today. The media are the ones making a big deal about it. It may be something minor that we never hear about. I really don't think there is anything secretive going in with Lee. We know he is not the father. I think his tears came because he was angry at himself for not being more involved in Caylee's life. Cindy told him to "let it go" when he asked if Casey was pregnant and Lee was so stuborn that he walked away from it all and now he wishes he had been more involved with Casey and Caylee. I think in his mind he believes that if he had been more involved that Caylee would not have been murdered by Casey. As far as George and Cydie, I truely believe that they want justice for Caylee and I believe that they know that their daughter murdered her but like any parent, they are not going to do anything that would help to put their daughter to death. I don't know any parent that would. I think that many have drank the media's koolaid and believe that this family is so dysfunctional, I diagree. I think they are a very normal american family except for their daughter who is obviously evil.

While we don't know why court was adjourned without hearing any testimony on Sat...rest assured whatever the reason, it was not due to a minor issue. ANY time a legal issue ceases any further testimony it is a major issue.

While merely speculation on my part... the fact that Casey left the court room twice (which is not typical when attorney's are ironing out a minor legal issue in chambers), as well as the fact that the prosecution has in their possession computer activity records from the morning of 6/16/08, which will be used on rebuttal to disprove the defense theory that Caylee drowned in the early morning hours on that date (and no doubt proof that Mrs. Anthony was actually at work on the dates/times she claims to have been home and it was she, not Casey, who performed the searches for chloroform, etc.)...my guess is an Alford plea is in the works (which is why the defense requested the issue be discussed in chambers and not in the presence of the media/public and why Casey left the court room twice).

      We will see come Monday.

@Anne....Is it normal for a "close family" to tell one member to "let it go" and leave them out of a family affair? WHY would they deliberately leave Lee out of the picture....it is so odd to me, it reminds me of Mommy Dearest or Psycho . they all seem like a bunch of nut cases.

Is there any way this has something to do with Cindy Anthony's testimony yesterday? She was “remembering” specific details about the 16th. She is now saying the latter on the pool WAS up and the gate was opened. Her reasoning for remembering this was because it was not common for the latter to be left up when no one was using it. It was so uncommon that she recalls calling her husband George at work to ask him why the gate was opened and the latter was on the pool. What time did her husband go to work on that day? Is there a time card that could verify? What do phone records show? On that day, was he ever alone with just her daughter and granddaughter, if so, how long? Do George’s fellow employees remember him being significantly late on that day? Was his behavior different that day? Does the timeline of this specific day coincide with the defenses theory?

Also, could this have something to do with finding Cindy’s WORK computer records?
