Israel denies fiscal pressure on Greece to block flotilla boats

The Israeli foreign ministry on Sunday rejected as "ludicrous" suggestions that Israel and the United States were using economic pressure to force fiscally strapped Greece into preventing boats from participating in an international flotilla to the Gaza Strip.

"Do these people have any proof whatsoever to such claims?" asked Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor. "Their entire activity is aimed at demonizing the state of Israel. What are they saying, that we have used all the Jewish bankers in the world to cancel Greece's bonds? What kind of fantasy world are they living in?"

Organizers of one boat planning to join the flotilla, the U.S.-registered Audacity of Hope, released a statement Sunday asking the Greek government to explain why the leased vessel was being prevented from leaving a Greek port.

    @ John:
    Good post!
    You made many good points.
    Still, I say it's there as a military base for our oil interests. If we didn't need the oil, we could let Israel go, except for the Jewish power establishment in finance, media, and lobbies already in place here.

    BTW, stating that Israel was created for the US to have a military base there is so far off and oversimplified that it's almost laughable. BTW it wasn't our place to investigate the Israeli bulldozer matter, it was the U.N.'s and Israel's responsibility. Before you go off half coc ked I'm not saying that because it was Israel, I'd say the same thing if it had been in Russia or even Iran.

    Where did JIF say anything about CNN being prudish? Did I miss something?

    @John: Read your history, the Revolution may very well have died in it's infancy if it hadn't been for a jewish merchant by the name of Haym Salomon(look it up) who donated millions of dollars to the militia when it was nearly broke. There were many other jewish merchants that donated large sums of money too. As for the Jews owning all the banks, that's the kind of racist statement that let Hitler gain power. Why are we so involved in the middle east you ask, it has very little to do with Israel and a lot to do with natural resources. Get a clue.

    The 4:30 PM JIF post is not mine.
    I am, however, still trying to duplicate banasy's
    Ja-

    @JIF:

    Ah, but then it wouldn't be a secret, would it?

    And I know who wrote the blah blah post; he doesn't take criticism of any sort gracefully.

    But...I've been so nice today–for instance, what I'm not saying about "secret" alone is admirably restrained, for JIF...
