Obama to hold a news conference on Wednesday

U.S. President Barack Obama will hold a previously unscheduled news conference on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET in the East Room of the White House, spokesman Jay Carney announced.

The news conference comes as Obama faces mounting unhappiness over the U.S. economic performance, as well as controversy over his refusal to seek congressional authorization for U.S. participation in the NATO-led military campaign in Libya.

Maybe he's going to announce his pardon of Blago. before blago spills his guts. Or maybe he's going to announce his resignation so Biden can pardon him .

@jj: welfare should end immediately, agreed, however that isn't what's bankrupting us-it's the 1.2 trillion a year we spend on the military that's bankrupting us. That's 100 times more than all other countries combined spend on their militaries, outrageous. Government doesn't create jobs, as Rush says, so why are the republicans trying to do it so much with the military. We already have enough fire power to blow any country to hell.

Babylon, Assyria, Minoa, ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, Russia-what do these countries all have in common? An over bloated military that was the root cause of their demise as a leader in the world community, most no longer even exist.
