'Reading Rainbow' host to lead theme song flash mob

For a certain age group, the words to the theme song of the public television children's show "Reading Rainbow" brings back warm, fuzzy memories.

Butterfly in the sky/I can go twice as high/take a look/it's in a book/a reading rainbow...

Yeah, sing along. It's OK. And now it's OK to sing it in public because the show's former host LeVar Burton is planning to lead a flash mob of people singing that sweet song.

You can follow details about when and where on Twitter at #readingrainbowflashmob. In the meantime, he's the original.

    Is this just for gay children or can all attend? That rainbow stuff is all gay like.

    The idea of a flash mob is that its secretive and only a select few know of it. Way to ruin the surprise CNN. Now this "flash mob" will be an over the top kumbya of pratsy little tweens that want to be the latest buzz craze on the CNN blog-o-sphere.

    Well, they wouldn't have released the information if they didn't want it known....

      Oh Webster.... Don't you know how this works? Someone leaks something on purpose then acts like they didn't want it leaked.. Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian ring a bell? It allows maximum exposure as both the victim and the one profiting.

    @U-Turn:

    I was stating the obvious.
    If you do not think that these "flash-mob" scenarios are not leaked in advance, you are sadly delusional
    And the grown-ups *are* chatting.

    So why are *you* here?

      We've intercepted your transmission and booze is banned in Starfleet, although we're totally cool with simulated gay metaphors and the only woman on board just so happens to be called Uwhorah... Scotti is a guy in a skirt, the Dr's name is Bones, Sulu likes men, Then there's Lt.Pavel Jakov.. Spock always said "curious captain"... Klingons are often joked to be the dingleberry or toilet paper pieces clinging to someone's hole.. Even the ships kinda look like male members.. Hmm.. Where are they doing battle and why? In short.. No booze for you.
