It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.
Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

I do not believe that the grandparents were responsible or knew about the death. Initially they tried to protect and stand by Casey until the accusations of being molested by her father and the father covering up the murder came about. They may not have been able to prove by physical evidence that Casey murdered her daughter, but they were able to prove her lies, the smell of death in the car and cast enough doubt on Casey that proves she is the only Person that could have done this.
I believe that Casey killed her child, but I do not believe the prosecution has proven it. My guess is that the jury will convict her anyway, because in so many ways she has not acted like a mother whose child has been abducted.
This is why I think the state should have pled things down and maybe she would have taken a manslaughter conviction. I think the state did not prove a 1st degree murder charge even though she may be guilty of more...
First i think she is gulty.and the family is a little unstable at best. That said I would like too know how can we mget Nancy Drace of the air.. Between her ant the news casters on HLN with there over acting and eys buggiong out of there heads you can't tell what the hell is going on.. It's a freak show at best.
You need to learn how to spell you idiot.
I hope the verdict is NOT Guilty JUST so Nancty Grace and all those Drama Queens at HLN will have to eat crow.
LOL @ Murt!
Many of you are ruled by emotions in this. Manslaughter yes but not 1st degree.
you're an idiot
Why manslaughter? If she killed her it was premeditated. But the evidence is not there and it will be not guilty or a hung jury. I don't think any of the charges can be proven except lying to the police about her job and imaginary people. She will walk just like O.J.
...and some of us use logic and scientific evidence, which has conclusively proven first degree murder. Hopefully the jury is capable of logical thought and understanding basic science, which would tell them that first degree murder has been proven.
I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE THINKS, SHE KILLED HER!!! YOU CAN TELL BY THE LOOK ON HER FACE THAT SHE DID NOT CARE ABOUT THAT LITTLE GIRL. IF SHE DID, YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN TEARS. BUT ALL WE SEEN WAS A BLANK EXPRESSION. ALSO, IF IT WAS A ACCIDENT AND SHE DID DROWN, THEN WHY DIDNT THEY CALL 911 OR DO CPR? I THINK THAT WHEN SHE "CHOSE" NOT TO TAKE THE STAND IN HER OWN DEFENSE, SHE SHOWED HER GUILT. IF YOU CAN NOT STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES TO PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE THEN YOU ARE GUITY.
Well, you technically cannot take avoiding the stand as evidence of guilt so...
Defense blew it by initiating the accident theory!!! No way in hell the father would make this turn into a murder case! They find her guilty, maybe not 1st D, but for felony 1st D for sure...just my 2 cents on what I have watched and if I was on that jury...
This is, at best, a local news story. Move on, CNN. I expect better.
I agree. I still don't understand the fascination with this case?
Yes, becoming educated about our judicial system by observing a trial is a waste of time when there's good celebrity gossip to be had – right...
I see pure evil in casey. A lot of folks come from disfunctional families and dont kill their kids. Life in prision will be fine for me. But then again, liers and manipulators do fine in prison.
GUILTY! so many lies. so much time spent stabbing her family in the back. She should NOT get the death penalty and rather be sentenced to life in prison, have a video camera 24/7 showing two scenes. Her friends continuing to party on without her and the other scene pictures of her daughter from birth to her death. have this constantly playing so that she cannot turn it off. lets make her go insane, smother her with guilt and make her regret all her lies and selfish behavior. putting her to death is the easy way out. she will die and go to hell at some point. in the meantime, lets start the hell process for her.
lets add more misery by having tony send her notes about his new girlfriend and HOT she is. It is obvious casey was only concerned about her social life. what better way to stab her now with subjecting her to the good life she will never see again. call me insensitive but if the shoe fits.....
She is guilty. She has no compassion. The rebuttal by the prosecution at the end was brilliant. Her mothers 911 call sealed the deal for me. I am not on the Jury and its not my decision. But she is guilty and she knows it.
Wow......hoe many versions of what happened did the defense offer./?....and they didn't provide facts about any of them. talk about throwing something against a wall and see what sticks.....
The prosecution said it best..........who takes an accident and makes it look like murder.
I think Linda Burdick did an excellent job!! Casey Anthony should never be allowed her freedom to commit another crime against anyone else–she has no conscience whatever!
guilty as charged – The state has provided enough to send her away for a long time – PERIOD
She'll get life in prison.
I HOPE!
She is guilty on all counts.
