Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

She's guilty. You don't try to turn an accident to look like murder. Come on people, she's guilty!!!

She certainly is guilty. I know how the justice system works–the biggest liar wins.

If your child was in the pool drowning wouldn't the first thing you would do is get her out of the pool and then call 911 and begin CPR. Guilty as charged.

Exaclty...since they proved her mom got up on the stand and lied to try and save Casey....why would George let her sit in jail for three years if it was a drowning accident. I feel so sorry for George and Lee...being accused with no proof of molesting Casey. Even now she can't stop the lies. I'm just afraid the next headlines will be George Anthony commits suicide. How could anyone do that to a father? She is one sick person reminds me of Scott Peterson but he didn't even throw his family to the wolves....

I don't think she is "Guilty!". The state could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. However, i did believe unfortunately the child death was accidental and the whole family knew this and attempt to hide it. she is not guilty for lying to law enforcement enforcers, because the interrogation was based on threat and intimidation which rendered her responses useless. Finally, i think is guilty of Child abuse....which comprises of negligence and sadly ultimate emotional harm!!

I believe the scientific evidence, which conclusively proved she was guilty of murder and that there was no accident. I understand how some could rely on their emotions to believe she was not guilty, though. In the end, I think logic and science will prevail over emotion and they will judge her based on evidence and logic.

I am wondering if you have followed this case from day one? (I have followed it since day one)
She is GUILTY plain and simple. I do not believe for one sec that anyone but CASEY knows what REALLY happened. The 911 calls do not lie and the proof is in the voice of Cindy Anthony. Casey acted alone in this act. Accident or no accident she did NOTHING to show she was innocent for 31 days or 3 years leading up to this case.....

Oh my. What case have you been watching? She is guilty, her lawyers know it which is why jose tried to confuse the jury yesterday with 3 hours of rambling nonsense. It has been proven by prosecution and she will receive first degree murder. Doubtful that she will get death, but life without parole is probable.

A normal person would've called an ambulance if it had been an "accident". There would be no fear. Duct tape on the mouth with a little heart-shape? Buried in an obscure place? One should not need a photograph of the actual crime to prove a case, to know that this is a murder, no accident.

Reasonable doesn't mean no doubt. There may be missing pieces of this puzzle, but it's so obvious she's guilty.

Prosecution had more scientific evidence of murder than any other case I've followed in the past several years. If there is a doubt that she's guilty, it is not a "reasonable" one. They conclusively proved their case.

The state did a terrible job. There is no hard facts proving she did it. Sure the internet searches, etc so what? It was a family computer. It is funny how most people dont even think about the father. He is a former police officer. What about the theory she drowned, and it is a father daughter cover-up? What bout the father adding the ductape to her after the fact to make it look like someone kidnapped her. The father is the one who had an affair, he is the one who had the ducttape, he is also smart enough to not leave a trail of finger prints, She is getting off!

The father and mother were conclusively proven to be at work when the computer searches happened. The problem is that people read the cnn articles and don't know a single fact about the evidence. Luckily the jury has had to listen to the evidence, so unlike a lot of people will understand the real info rather than the gossip/rumors as a lot of people here seem to take as fact.

Since none of the theories you just wrote about are connected to a single fact in the case, I'm not sure why you'd bother to waste time typing. It's clear you didn't read any of the case evidence. The things you mention in your post were disproven months if not years ago. Think fact over emotion, reality over rumor and you'll have a better take on most things in life.

Most ppl forget that in America, you are innocent till proven guilty. The Prosecuters have not provided conclusive evidence that a crime was committed. She should not be convicted.

The judge and grand jury (as well as most of the facts of the case) would disagree with you. Soon, the jury verdict will as well.

I'm sorry, but the prosecutors proved quite clearly that a crime had been committed (eg body dumped in swamp, duct tape, lying to officers, e-i-e-i-o). I believe you meant perhaps that you believe they did not prove Casey committed the crime beyond a reasonable doubt. If that's the case, what do you believe they did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt?

Really then what did happen? Casey's own words 1) daddy/brother molested me so I have no responsibility in what I do, 2) Caylee drowned while I was supposed to be watching her so I put her in the truck of my car and drove all over the State of Florida with her hoping she would dry out, 3) I put duck tape on her mouth so she would drowned again when I threw her in the swamp 4) illegal aliens did it so lets protect our boarders (okay I made that one up but I'm surprised Caysee didn't think of it first)!!!!

GULITY! THE STATE HAS PROVED THE CASE FOR 1ST DEGREE. AND IT COULD BE CONSTRUED THE DEFENSE PROVED THE MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE IN THAT ANY MOTHER WHO ADMITS THEIR CHILD DROWNED, AND THEY THEN FAILED TO CALL FOR HELP WHEN THE FAINT POSSIBILITY WOULD BE THERE THAT THE CHILD COULD BE SAVED WITH IMMEDIATE MEDICAL HELP, WELL TO ME SHE IS GUILTY OF CAUSING THAT LITTLE ONES DEATH EITHER WAY.

Casey is guilty and I hope the jury gives her death....the same sentence that she gave her daughter. I don't think George will ever get through this the question is how long before the headline news is George Anthony commits suicide. Sick daughter to do what she has done to everyone that loved her....father,mother,brother, friends and most of all Cayee. She need to be sentenced to death. I pray the jury has common sense....
