Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

Burn her as the witch she is CRUCIFY her! Let her burn slowly and to let what she has done forever burn her, once she is in Hell she will know the price of killing an innocent child.

Ok ok an extreme response. I dont want to pay for her meals in prison, and well I want her to be extremely miserable. I bet she just commits suicide or something. Either way she is going too Hell.

She will not get the death penalty as much as anyone believes she will. The problem with the case is that there is no hard evidence that completely links her to the death of her child. No finger prints, no hair or DNA sample was ever found on Caylee's body. The only thing they have is the smell of the car, but that still does not prove Caylee was in the car rotting away. If Casey is found guilty it will be under a lower charge but I have a bad feeling that she will be acquitted of the charges, due to lack of evidence. She must be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and I don't believe that can be found with no hard evidence.

A dead body is hard evidence to me, coupled with the contradicting lies, the deceit, and never reporting Casey's own child missing by her own mother. That's more than enough evidence to link her to the death of her child. Casey is not crazy, she is manipulative, intelligent and conniving. It's all about Casey, Caylee never had a chance with that one. The prosecution is right, Caylee was at the age where little kids "spill their guts" about what Mom or Dad are doing in their lives. While for most parents, this is an exceptionally funny time of a little one's life, apparently Casey needs to keep the cloak of secrecy about herself from her family. Enough said.

guilty... first degree murder. life in prison without the posibility of parole... i dont think enough evidence ties her to be sentenced to death but enough for life.

she's guilty, every bit of evidence points to her directly and her mother lied to boot......The mother said she was the one that inquired about chloroform on the daughters computer and the prosecution proved she was at work when the inquiry was posted, sad, but that's the world we live in today.

For premeditated you have to believe the chloroform story. The defense says that Caley may have drowned in the pool. If that is true wouldn't the bleach in the pool be a suspect on the chemical degeneration of body decomposition that was found in the trunk? I heard the prosecution state that there was no evidence of bleach being in the trunk of the car....

I think the telling part of the whole case is the fact that when her parents were on the strand with their hearts breaking for their granddaughter that they will never see grow up and will only see in pictures, she didn't shed a tear. When the prosecution closed with their first arguments, she didn't shed a tear, BUT when the so-called "grief expert" was talking about what grieving parents go through...when the defense was talking about "poor Casey"...she shed all the tears she could round up....fake or otherwise. If I had been the one on trial and every time my dead child's name was mentioned it would tear me apart. There's so much evidence against her. But the most damning evidence is the lies she told, the pictures of her partying, the phone calls from jail, and the jail visits with her family, and the defense trying to pin Caylee's death on George. And dropping the F-bomb with her mom???? I'm 43 years old and if I ever drop the F bomb around or to my mom, she would smack the hell out of me or hang up on me.

True, Cindy should be charged with perjury. Cindy committing perjury may or may not be the icing on the verdict cake. But Casey seems quite drained now and resigned to the fact that the outcome is not going to be good. I do believe she is guilty on all counts. I pray that there will be justice for Caylee after all.

I agree with you! It is sad. I feel like the state of florida should represent our voices of the people of Florida. There should of been a moment of prayer for Caylee!

You are absolutely right! Caylee was the victim here. A defenseless, innocent, little 2 year old...The defense didn't even focus on Caylee. Here again, it's all about Casey. Very good point.

They will find her guilty but not of 1st degree murder, I don't think the state proved aggravated child abuse...she's going down...but not the death penalty. I think they should start looking at grandpa a bit harder....something is wrong in this family

It appears that what is wrong with this family is CASEY. If George and Cindy have committed any sin, it's doing too much and giving in every time to Casey's whims. Good parents have the ability to raise their children to know the difference between right and wrong and consequences for their actions. Casey is egocentric, narcissistic, and generally 100% all about herself. IMO Casey believes there are two sets of rules: Rules for the rest of society to abide by and rules for Casey to do as she please when she pleases. I believe she was angry with her mother, used chloroform to knock Caylee out so she could party like a kid again and did away with her so she could live her own life and keep Cindy out of her life.
