Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

I'm expecting either First Degree felony murder or Second Degree murder. Not sure they have proven pre-meditated murder, even withthe computer searches. Feels to me more like she just got pis*ed off at her mother one final time and decided her mother would no longer have any influence in Caylee's life. We shall see how it all plays out.

Guilty. The pre meditation is in the google searches for chloroform and neck breaking. If this were not the case Cindy would not have lied about it on the stand. They were desperately trying to distance Casey from those internet searches. I don't think she gets death though. The case has a few similarities to the Lemak case in Naperville Il about 10-12 years ago. Mon killed kids to get back at estranged husband. Imo, Casey killed Caylee to get back at Cindy who imo was trying to get custody.

I'm inclined to believe she is guilty, I am very thankful I am not sitting on that jury.

Guilt not proven beyond a reasonable doubt ? Please look at the pictures of her partying after her daughter was murdered and getting her tatoo ' Beautiful Life" just a few days after she disposed of her excess baggage. If that isn't enough, along with the imaginary friends and Jose Baez's ridiculous drowning story and then not backing it up in trial. I don't believe that's ever been done in our history. His closing arguments were filled with lies and the journalist's failed to poiint that out. I can go on and on...I can't believe anyone has a doubt. Do you believe O. J. is innocent as well?

Casey is clearly responsible for the death of her sweet baby girl...perhaps accidentally, nevertheless responsible. She deserves to at least rot in jail for all her lies and deceit. She has demonstrated time and again that she wasn't worried about Caylee's well being, she was just worried about how much her daughter inconvenienced her in life and death. It's heartbreaking.

  8. Media Does A Good Job

of brainwashing you. THIS IS WHY YOU GUY'S ARE NOT IN THE JURY. They Media has done a good job of getting in your head by making a villian out of somebody.

I don't care what anybody says – She's not guilty – You guy's are guilty of buying the crap the media spits at you. You people are guilty of directing your emotion at this when more important things are happening: The Federal Reserve robbing your children of life and liberty. Corporate payoffs to run your nation. But no – You fools would rather drool over something as mundane as this when we roast little children overseas everyday. You people are a disgrace to this country.

So, you must be following it too if you are on a message board for the story. Believe it or not, intelligent people can know what's going on globally as well as locally. I know exactly what the government and corporations are up to, yet, I still find a story like this compelling. I can partake in high and low art......

Also, the trial was streamed live, so aside from sidebar discussions, we, the audience, heard what the jury heard, actually more, because we could hear some of the discussion when the jury wasn't present. If a person follows a case and sees testimony, how is that "buying what the media spits to you"? An article written by a journalist can be biased, but if I am listening to both sides of an argument, as well as material witnesses and drawing my own conclusions, how is that being brainwashed by the media?

Guilty. No one lies as much as she did without being guilty. If an acccident happened, she could have called 911 like most people do. I don't buy into any of her stories..

If the defense claims an accidental drowning, my only question is "why duct tape?" If she was already dead, then what purpose would duct tape over the mouth and nose serve? Simple question that I'd like answered.

I think that Casey Anthony showed absolutely NO emotion throughout this entire trial. I have a daughter of my own and I know if she's missing for even an hour I would go crazy. All the evidence is there that she murdered her own daughter. She is more worried about her boyfriend then her daughter. I also noticed how she had the back of her shirt tied up at one of the days in court. So its clear she's more worried about her appearance, partying etc., instead of that little girl. Pathalogical liar is a good word for her, everything about her says guilty. When u have kids certain things you have to accept have to change. She wasn't ready to change that so she had to take her own daughter out of the picture..

As much as I would like to see this woman close her eyes forever under the florida sun ( or should i say florescent lights) I know they will NOT give her the death penalty... It would cost the state 3 times more money to put this woman to death than to let her rot in a solitary cell for life... plus .. being isolated will drive her nuts ... more than what she is. I guess that one would hurt even more than a hypodermic needle.

Guilty on all counts including 1st degree murder. The only thing that may save her from death penalty is that they couldn't prove 100 what was the actual cause of death. I think originally she was going to use the chloroform to knock her out so she could go be with the new boyfriend and friends but then she decided to knock her out with the chlorofoam wrap her with the duct tape from the anthony garage then added the heart sticker because even though she was a pscychopath she had some love for her daughter a some point. But her selfishness prevailed it was about casey not the baby.

The whole family is dysfunctional! If my Grandkid went missing for ONE DAY, I'd send out the guard. If I suspected my son was a bad parent, I would do anything/everything to protect that small child. UGH, lets hope these jurors aren't of the same calibre as the OJ jurors who let that murderous b go free.
