Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

I think about everything from a common sense point of view and having hear the case from both sides the Defense and the Prosecution what I cannot refute what was said by the Prosecution which is what person with the most reasonable amount of intelligence tries to turn an accident into a murder, who tells lies about where they are and the child is even to the grandparents, who goes out partying when there child is dead and no matter how the child died as a mother how do you just flip a switch and act as if it did not happen. In my experience anyone who lies does so in an effort to hide the truth and I believe the truth is that Casey Marie Anthony is guilty of the death of her daughter and no matter what degree of murder the jury assigns I believe that they will hold Casey Marie Anthony accountable for the death of that beautiful little angel who's life ended far to soon!

Guilty as charged on all counts. Also guilty of destroying her entire family in the process. It is difficult to imagine why she would feel the need to further torture her parents by dragging them through a trial, and further hurting them with still more lies about them. Her time to grow-up and accept the punishment was as soon as she was arrested and it was obvious that she was caught. Instead she tortured her family by making them wonder where Caylee was, and providing false home that she could be found alive. The lies just wouldn't stop. I only hope, for the sake of her parents, that she is spared the death penalty. They have suffered enough. As for her punishment–I doubt that her reputation and personality will serve her well with the other inmates in women's prison!

She is not guilty. The death is tragic, and she is hiding alot of things. But not enough evidence to convict.

Not guilty. The prosecution failed to prove their burden of proof linking Casey to the death of Caylee. If there are still questions about what happened, that's reasonable doubt. That's not guilty.

Funny I was molested and I have never thought about killing any of my four children. I think they are just grasping at straws. I don't think her father molested her, I think it's ridiculous.

I can't believe they brought in this chloroform theory. Its not like you can just go buy that stuff at the local Walgreens and its pretty difficult to make at home, requiring a still and other equipment. They never proved that Casey would have had access to chloroform, so why make it such a central part of the case? I'd find her innocent just because the chloroform theory is an insubstantiated wild guess on the part of the prosecution. Its like the prosecution read one too many Agatha Christie novels to come up with the chloroform theory. If this prosecution had just watched some James Bond movies, instead, they would have said Casey killed her daughter using sharks with lasers. It's unbelievable, wild speculation.

THE DEFENSE DIDN'T PAY ANY RESPECT TO CAYLEE IN THE CLOSING ARGUMENTS? WOW. SO SAD AND DISRESPECTFUL TO THE KILLED BABY. DIDN'T MENTIONED ANY REMORSE OF HER DEATH.

Whether she is innocent or guilty, God is the only Judge, not us.

BETTY, God has given us the ability to judge as well. And the reason why GOD has given us the ability to judge is because of people like Casey.

She better be isolated form the general population while in prison... if one of those "lfers" get a hold of her.. she is not going to last ... even serial murderers have ethics... weird ones but ethics non the less... and one thing is for sure. They HATE child killers.

One thing for sure is the jealousy of the new baby getting all the attention, and taking it away from the mother. Speak of her freedom with two grandparents doing shifts to watch the baby – this girl had all the freedom, but it wasn't enough. I think the household was doing all they could to hold this together with the start of a rearing another child – don't blame gram & gramps, psycho's are born this way. Read Robert Hare's book – what more proof is there than his 25+ years of study – as I re-read his book, I got to see the visual on TV, and Hare is right on. Now, this is another Diane Downs and I hope she never see's a release, as more babies will be produced and abused.
