Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

no longer a death penalty in florida? How does this work if she is found guilty of first degree? Also, i think she is So guilty but I DO NOT think the state proved beyond reasonable doubt.

I think Casey Anthony is guilty without a doubt. She has offered no decent explanation for all the lying and evasion. If she is not guilty, why do all that lying and evasion? I think something terrible happened to that beautiful little girl either on purpose or accidentally and she covered it up so as to not get into trouble with her mom who had already expressed concerns that Casey was an unfit mother. I think they should throw the book at her.

She is on trial for murder. If it was an accident, she is not guilty.

There is no plausible way that they can find her guilty of murder 1. The only people who scream guilty are those who aren't following evidence. It really upsets me that we will never know the truth. Btw if I hear the phrase "Tot Mom" one more time I will go to prison

At first i thought she was guilty because of the short media clips already judging her. After doing some research into this i do not believe the prosecution did their job. Baez did a great job discrediting their evidence. The prosecution then follows the defense with a weak rebuttal. Use common sense and speculate is what they are askin the jury to do. She will get away with this and will not be charged.

I think, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty.....Not reporting her child Missing for so long was her 1st mistake, if she was innocent then she wouldn't have waited so long to report it. She said she was doing her own investigation, BS! and her parents were in the wrong for not reporting Caylee missing, my gosh she lived in the same house, that's BS also...The Prosecution did their job as did the Defense, now it's up to the 12 Juror's to do theirs...

She may well have done it, but where is the proof?
Based on the evidence, she should walk.

Well, when I was originally hearing about this, which was not long ago, i was automatically saying guilty. Casey looks so cold and sounds so unremorseful and ungrieving in all of the sound clips and videos. But then, where is all the proof? I'm not too sure about this one.. i mean if ur baby died, wouldnt you be even a little upset? and if you were on trial for the murder of your baby, dont you think youd look a little scared and maybe even shed a tear or two, especially if you were in fact innocent? she seems a little too comfortable for the situation. but at the same point, no body actually has any hard evidence against her. I believe she is an incredibly heartless and cold person, but id definitely hate to be on that jury... In my honest opinion, we have heard lots of different stories and lies and truths... but in the end, nobody has proven her guilty or not guilty either way. and i almost wanna doubt that anyone will.

She will walk away with negligence and nothing else. There is NO concrete evidence to suggest that she and only she killed the baby. Unfortunate but true

It wouldn't take me an hour to convict her, not for her getting the death penality, but to sit in Prison for the rest of her LIFE.

She's guilty. However, I don't want her to get the death penalty. I want her to sit in jail for the rest of her life. Unless they were allowed to put duct tape over her nose and mouth, and let her slowly suffocate, I think the death penalty would be too easy for this heartless woman.

2nd degree murder is not "I'm not 100% sure she's guilty of 1st bc I don't know how the child died, so she must be guilty of 2nd degree murder." If there is reasonable doubt as to how the child died, she is not guilty of murder, period. I'd love to send Casey to jail for a long time for being a horrible person, but as to murder, there is reasonable doubt IMO.

Shes guilty and this is my reasons why...1st she didnt report her child missing period her mom did when she heard she was missing. 2nd she lied about every thing including where her daughter was and with who, if she wasnt involved im sure a honest story would have been good enough to clear her name. 3rd the defense argued that it was an accidental drowning not that they didnt know how she died that she died or anything else the defense is admitting that through crappy parenting or other she was present in her death. Theres never been an alibi never it couldnt have been her or even a mention of it could have been this person because her daughter spent time with her etc etc. They tried to do what they did in the OJ trial in that lets fool the jury in focusing on something other then the crime, ie racism instead of murder or in this case molestation instead of murder. Was it only me or did anyone else ever figure out how molestation tied into the death? Also the mother knows more then shes letting on even when she was sitting up there saying she just sometimes leaves work and goes home hops on the computer when ever she wants most of us could tell that was a lie before it was proven. To end my novel here I hope she does spend life in prison to think about this everyday and to know what a "BEAUTIFUL LIFE" she now has.

Why hide it if she died in the pool. Why not call 911 go to the Hospital like any human being would do. I don t get it. WHY HIDE an accidental death?
