Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case
It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.
Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

I hope that the state kills her for what she has done, what mother would do that to a loving and caring child this crazy demanted woman

Let's hope that the jurors take their oaths to heart and consider evidence and burden of proof and not emotion and speculation. Everyone of you who cries out for "guilty" would want that if you or someone you cared about were on trial. Those of you who are the most judgmental and unthoughtful are the ones who beg and cry the loudest for any advantage – legal or illegal – when charged with a crime. On the basis of closing arguments, which is all I saw, the jury must acquit. The prosecutors had to constantly invite the jurors to walk away from their duty. Let's see if they do. If they don't, it is not guilty all day long. Baez was the master of that courtroom. Ashton was the typical government drone prosecutor – arrogant and crass. Yuck.
So, by your logic, if I commit a crime, and lie enough, or pollute the truth enough, that there is a plausible doubt as to the method of which I commited said crime, then I deserve to go free.

Well Gary by your own word you haven't been watching the case much you've just seen the closing arguments for the most part. I will tell you I've been watching almost every moment of the trial since its started and I can say with a clear mind that based on the facts presented in this case by both the Prosecution and the Defence that it is very apparent that Casey Anthony is guilty. She was caught up in her own web of lies and it was plain for all to see. For me personally I don't know what was more damning for her the video tapes, or her actions after the child dissapeared either way they were the acts of a criminal.
CASEY is guilty! 1. Why you didnt report your daughter missing? CINDY pressure CASEY to see CAILY this is when the stuff hit the fan 2. WHY DO CASEY CAR SMELIL LIKE DEATH? 3. WHY IS CASEY FOCUSED ON FINDING YOUR BOYFRIEND INSTEAD OF YOUR MISSING DAUGHTER. 4. HOW IS IT THAT THE DETECTIVES COULD NOT FIND THE BABYSITTER THAT SHE CLAIMED HAD CAILY? CASEY is so guilty she has no emotion or remorse! MAY GOD BLESS THE GRANDPARENTS
We need to take a hard look at ourselves as a nation, if we allow Casey Anthony to walk free. She is so obviously guilty, whether or not the state provided physical evidence. COMMON SENSE and LOGIC should always prevail.

If you could convict based on only motive and opportunity this case would be a slam dunk for a guilty verdict. But you have a case where the coroner could not determine the cause of death, a car trunk that smelled of decomposition, but no DNA of fluid remains in the trunk, tape and plastic bag with no fingerprints and a prosecution that could not eliminate the cause of death as a drowning. I see a lot of comments from people about CA not talking about any drowning, but we have people who leave the scene of accidents because they don't want to get into trouble for causing an accident. Even though I believe CA is guilty, I see no real hard concrete evidence of 1st degree murder. I predict guilty on lesser charges.
OK. All the commentators are talking about how fantastic the final closing arguments were by the prosecution today. So how about it CNN HLN? Why don't you show the closing presented to day again in it's entirety? Please? Thank You!

I think she killed her daughter to keep her from her father's predation and he knows why she did it. I think she discovered her father abusing the child.
The duct tape "would have fallen off " the face along with the skin and tissue !
Maybe George had something to do with it. Maybe he was assulting Caylee something went wrong and put her in the pool to look like she drowned then told Casey she would go to jail for the drowning of her daughter but we can cover it up he can take care of it being a homicide detective he knew they would not be able to find that she was assulted if the body was decomposed to the point of only bones for the remains. Otherwise how would he know there was an accident that snowballed out of control. Just a thought

Judge Perry said the "case must be decided on the EVIDENCE." Drama Queen Linda Burdick told the jury to "use common sense." Sorry, Linda. Evidence trumps common sense. The defense failed to define the murder weapon; it failed to provide a witness to the murder; Motive wasn't established without doubt. I expected the Defense to be weak, but I never guessed the Prosecution would present such a weak case. Were I on the jury, I could not vote for "Murder 1." They didn't prove it.
Exactly right! Prosecutors are all about "common sense" when their case is very weak. Common sense is the invitation to walk away from the oath to search for reasonable doubt.
What mother would ever wait for a month before reporting their child missing ? What mother would go out partying and never mention their child is missing, until you are asked asked about it, and then make something up ? This just doesn't sound like a normal person. I believe she truly is guilty !!! But instead of the death penalty or life without parole, send her to a STATE HOSPITAL, and let her spend the rest of her life in a drug induced stupor, and be with her own kind. JMHO
I wouldn't bet five dollars that she is guilty of murder one. Either she is not guilty, or the prosecution did an atrocious job at establishing her guilt.
There is no motive for murder because if Casey wanted to party there were her parents to do the baby sitting, no child abuse but rather Caylee drowned in the pool and I think it was George Anthony's suggestion that they try to cover it up as well as it was him that orchestrated the dumping of the body in the woods, etc. and then he threw Casey under the bus to protect his own butt. At the best, Casey shoulld get the lesser charge of lying to law enforcement and receiving a sentence of time served. No reasonable motive and no proof by the prosecution!!
Cindy had already told Casey she was not going to babysit for her to go party. They had a big fight about it and that is why she left the house.
There is no credible evidence presented that points to George covering up for an accident. Why would any father cover up an accident with a murder that from all angles points directly at Casey as the perp? Did you see the jailhouse visits? In no way did Casey indicate in any way that her father was complicit in this. And George never gave that impression either. Remember, she didn't want to talk to anyone except Tony. Not even her father...and that is telling.

I think you are full of crap OldDad!! No offence intended, but why, I ask you why, did this sudden "accidental drowning" come up in the middle of the freaking trial?? And, molestation? All of this came up way too late. Let's blame Daddy for everything. Not sure that she's guilty of 1st degree murder, but geeze it always seems easy for Casey Anthony to blame everyone else for everything! that has happened. I don't think she'll get death, but she should at least get 40 yr's to life.
oh let me guess he should be on trail because of the duct tape is his in his house. wow i live in my parents house. so if i went and killed my child and used duct tape i can just say my dad did it because its his duct tape. if its under his roof and i have access to the house cant i easily access that duct tape on my own? yea i can.
Facts
1. Casey Anthony spent 31 days partying, lying, and never mentioning to anyone that her daughter was dead.
2. Casey Anthony's impounded car smelled of human decomposition to several people and a cadaver dog.
3.Caylee Anthony's remains were discarded like trash.
If George and Cindy Anthony are guilty of anything, it's probably telling their irresponsible daughter that they were not going to raise her child for her. They probably spent years dealing with Casey and her constant lying and decided it was time for her to grow up and be a parent. Unfortunately it backfired, whether on purpose or on accident, Casey Anthony is responsible for Caylee's death. May she spend the rest of her days behind bars. People like Casey need to be locked up for good.
