Gotta Watch: Judging Casey Anthony case

It's the capital murder case that's held our attention this summer. But has the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey Anthony intentionally murdered her daughter? The jury is beginning their deliberations today, and now it's your chance to weigh in. You've gotta watch the most pivotal moments from the defense and prosecution and judge for yourself whether Casey Anthony is guilty or innocent.

Prosecuting Casey Anthony – The state of Florida contends Casey Anthony cared more about partying and having a fun life than being a mother. It's her motive for murder, according to prosecutors. They paint her as a liar trying to live the good life at the expense of her daughter.

Defending Casey Anthony – The defense brought molestation allegations against Casey Anthony's father and brother during the trial. It pointed to George Anthony as the real culprit behind the toddler's death and cover-up. Most importantly, Casey Anthony's defense team relied upon the fact that Caylee Anthony's cause of death is undetermined. It believes that's the real reason there's not enough evidence to convict the Florida mother of murder.

Guilty, guilty, guilty. I've no doubt her appeal team will try for ineffectiveness of counsel, but that won't work. I mean, Baez was an abject moron, but it still won't work.

If she wasn’t somehow responsible for the death of her child, then why all the lies? When she ran out of reasons why her parents hadn’t seen their grandchild, she made up a scenario about a nanny who kidnapped her. She made-up a person; an entire history and personality for someone who doesn’t exist. And this very same person who doesn’t exist just happened to have kidnapped her child 31 days prior and she didn’t apparently think to report that felony to the police, nor did she think it important enough to even discuss with her family, or even a friend. REALLY? Your little baby is missing and you’re in a hot body contest? REALLY?
Anyone who knows that horrible sinking feeling, that feeling like someone has their hand in your chest and is squeezing your heart when they’ve lost sight of their child in a mall or market, etc., knows damn well that makes no sense whatsoever; unless of course you happen to be a major sociopath.
If she didn’t kill her, she did something that got her killed. She GUILTY of

Black male, juror #2 guess we won't get OJ outcome and jury nullification. I thought maybe with an all white jury they could pull an OJ outcome and ignore everything and decide to go home with a not guilty finding.

It doesn't matter if she spends the rest of her life in prison or if she walks, she will be damned by the people around her for the rest of her life.

I've watched this case for 3 years now...I KNOW that Casey Anthony is guilty of something, but what? At first, I thought she taped up that baby's head and suffocated her, but then it came out that the tape was matted in hair. Some pieces weren't even with the skull. No DNA at all on that tape...HOW? I've handled duct tape; there should have been something there. Even with the months that went by, there should have been something if that tape was over her face. Cases decades old have DNA remains. And I truly believe that Roy Kronk definitely moved the bag and at least shifted the remains...so you really cannot take anything away from how they lie at the scene. Making cholorform to kill someone–not really likely. There are easier ways. She could have held her head under the water in the pool. Then there would have been no evidence and it would have taken just seconds to render her unconscious. But making chloroform???There are too many unanswered questions after you take away the fact that everyone HATES her. The defense showed beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey is a selfish, promiscuious biotch, but I don't think that they proved first degree murder or felony murder by child abuse. As much as I hate to say this, I'd have to settle on Manslaughter.

Poor Casey. I guess she doesn't know much about computers.....that even though you delete the searches for "how to make chloroform" it's still going to be on your computer until it is overwritten. Chloroform will be her doom......among other things. Thanks for the DNA lesson. I always wanted to talk to a real life DNA wiz kid.

I don't think the prosecution proved it's case beyond all reasonable doubt. Just because Casey told some lies doesn't make her guilty of capital murder.

The defense is all lies that has came from Casey. What about Caylee? She deserves justice.

let me guess you must be a Nancy Grace Fan too huh? Let me be clear, just because the DA or Law enforcement say someone did something doesnt mean its the gospel. Do research!!!!

@fairbutfirm, you don't have to be a Nancy Grace fan to believe that Casey Anthony should fry. The number of people making excuses for her behavior is sad, and somewhat disturbing.

If you want to stop this type of crime? execute them! American news media make these pigs famous...It turns my stomach everytime I read this crap> perpetrated by CNN and the rest of these creepy news media devils...These rags are nothing more than detective magazines from the forties and fifties. CNN you don't report news you make up the news> with these creeps who murder their on children...You should be ashamed of yourselves. I know I'm ashamed of the American media period...

I think there was a twisted family dynamic and poor little Caylee got caught in the middle. Here is a theory I haven't heard yet: Casey killed Caylee due to jealousy or an attempt to get revenge on her mother.

In the case of O.J, Micheal Jackson and Casey. The Prosecution was weak. I hope she's found Guilty but trust me, Florida is full of some weird people. All these Jurors are thinking about is missing out on the July 4th weekend. Read the Judges body language. Let "Hope" for the best like Ashton.

How can u not support death penalty? That's the problem here – no one's scared to kill cuz all they get is life in prison. For some a better life than they have – free food, free shelter, free entertainment, free medical.actually not free cuz we're paying for it!
